Pros: Convenience as it was close to several interesting museums.
Cons: There was some repair needed as our room had several openings where mosquitoes were entering.
Location: Clark museum, Williams College Museum, Kripalu where we went Kayaking.
Lovely spot and absolutely wonderful and interesting hosts.

Pros: Location is close to historic Lennox MA
Breakfast was not good. Not what one expects at a B&B. Didn't have eggs available and served French toast that was not done in the center.

We always have eggs available. If you did not like the French toast, we could have made you something else.

Very pleasant everything - room, innkeepers, breakfast and even other guests. Will definitely stay here again when I am in Lenox.

Nice location but disappointing room

Posted Aug 23, 2017
The location of the inn is great, a short walk to restaurants and only a very short drive to Tanglewood. But we were given a room in the "annex to the annex" and had only a sofa bed with a regular mattress on top. Not what I expected and a disappointment!

Hello! If we had known that you were disappointed with your guestroom we would have simply offered you another room. You booked that particular room, and you did stay in that room for a few days. We thought that you liked the room because it has a view overlooking the woods. It also has a piano and library. The bed has a normal and comfortable queen size mattress. The room has a separate entrance from the main guest house. It is not what we would call an "annex." It is a regular room in a house.

Campy charm but needs more care

Posted Aug 20, 2017 on Hotels
I had a fun time. the inn has lots of character. My room, the Santa Fe room, was huge. When I first arrived it was cold and dark. The heating system is more than adequate. The highly themed Santa Fe room is in a separate building and not everyone might like that. It was designed in a campy and quirky way buy I did feel that I was out west. I had a sitting room inside and a porch outside which opens onto a lawn. However the pillows had mildew or mold and every day my eyes were red in the morning. It had lots of charm, but needed fixing and new pillows! At a certain point I did not feel safe but objectively the area is extremely safe, the other guests were genteel, older and low key.

Thank you Mary for the compliments and glad you like Santa Fe. We try to provide the atmosphere of places we like the most. Seemed to have done it with Santa Fe. Had to remove the outhouse and horses and put in electricity. Pillows? Cowboy pillows. As of today, they have been replaced with newly made pillows from the east. No more cowboy pillows. Hope to see you again in the near future, Have a beautiful, relaxing autumn, Most sincerely, The Mears family

The owners were very pleasant and helpful with suggestions for what to do in the area. They came out during breakfast to chat with the guests. The facilities were well maintained spacious, and easy walking distance to the many restaurants and shops in Lenox. We got a free room upgrade because the room I booked was quite small and there happened to be a larger room available. The room was great except that the bed was a bit soft. The bathroom also had a sloped ceiling which made it a bit cramped for my partner. I would check in before booking if you are tall, and ask about the ceilings in the room you are getting.

Charming, interesting and great location!

Posted Jul 27, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: Comfortable feel among antiques. Nice hosts. Location
Cons: Better coffee. Update bathroom a bit - more surfaces to put "stuff".
Location: Easy walk to Lenox center. Shops, galleries, restaurants, coffee shops. Short drive to Tanglewood and museums, theater, dance.
We spent 3 nights in this warm, antique filled B&B/guesthouse. Hosts very friendly and helpful. The rooms we saw were charmingly decorated. Bathrooms a bit "older" but just fine. Breakfast in the lovely dining room (too rainy to eat outside). Nice home baked goods; fruit; eggs or french toast on request!. Perfect location; easy walk into Lenox center. Short drive to Tanglewood. A great base for all our explorations!

Could be so nice

Posted Jul 25, 2017
Sadly we left early because the room was so stale and musty and the air-conditioner barely worked. A few ceiling fans or even regular fans in the upstairs area would do wonders. There is no airflow at all in the house it was incredibly uncomfortable. It's very dated and while it's a lovely house and a wonderful and eclectic family, it is not worth the amount A few ceiling fans or even regular fans in the upstairs area would do wonders. There is no airflow at all in the house it was incredibly uncomfortable. It's very dated and while it's a lovely house and a wonderful and eclectic family, it is not worth the amount I saved and paid for a vacation. Very disappointing. The breakfast is also a let down.

Thanks for your critique. Although all but one guest room has an air-conditioner, we do not have fans in the hallways. Nobody has ever mentioned this to us, but we will look into putting a fan in the upstair hall. We try to serve a well-rounded breakfast so that we can accommodate our guests' different tastes. If a guest desires a food item that is not included in the buffet, we will provide it.
