If you only need the room...

The recently renovated room was fantastic. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. The common areas like the lobby, pool, buffet etc are in desperate need of being redone and the staff need more experience/training. if the current renovations are going to be anything like the room I had it’s going to be a really nice hotel again.

Beaut place and great stay. Only negative was the pool area is not locked such that only hotel guests can get in. As a result some unsavory folks came in when we were there.

Nothing to say....was down for a funeral....no time for anything else....Have been to the lodge many times over the years for meals with our parents...always loved the surroundings..

Wonderful staff, clean rooms, awesome complimentary breakfast. The Italian restaurant served a delicious meal!!

Oasis during winter storm

Renovations are great, comfy bed, friendly staff, tropical surroundings during this winter storm is an added bonus. Tasty hot breakfast. Nice pol and hot tub too.

Really nice hotel although putting glass doors on a bathroom is not a great choice. Lights on in the night if you get up during the night. Gym is nice. Pool is nice. Breakfast was okay. Staff were very friendly.

Not good since Sandman has taken over

We didn’t stay this time as new to us, regular visits to lodge in past before Sandman took over. Tried to cancel reservation with hotel as before but were told this time we had to cancel through Expedia. Were unable to get a hold of expedia, another frustration. I will use expedia again but we will not stay at Lethbridge lodge again!!

Thank you for your comments on your experience with your Expedia Reservation. I apologize for the confusion with you trying to cancel your reservation. Expedia Bookings do need to be cancelled through Expedia due to Expedia has charged your credit card and the hotel has not. Expedia will contact the hotel to verify if it is OK to cancel without a cancellation penalty and usually the hotel will agree to not charge Expedia for the cancellation. The Sandman Group has indeed bought the hotel and has made tremendous improvements in the guest rooms, Restaurants and soon the public areas. areas. Would probably been a higher review if they had not been under construction. Pool was wonderfully warm, only complaint was the hot tub was a bit to hot and the pull out sofa was not real comfy.

Thank you for your comments on your stay. We are still in the process of upgrading our guest rooms. Then we will be upgrading the public areas. The pool is normally 84 degrees and the Hot Tub is 104 degrees.

Family trip

Pros: Clean rooms
Cons: the class doors on the washroom needs to go .with the renovation done to the rooms the wooden doors were changed to glass if i had not booked the room
Daily buffet breakfast socked royally. same food each day. not much for choices . some family came over to the motel to have Sunday breakfast with us before we left . very disappointed with the food .

Pros: Our room was nice, clean
Cons: The hotel is dated and needs repair
Our rooms were nice . The elevator wasn’t great. The stair wells smelled of mold. It was over priced, the staff were nice though.
