We went on bank holiday weekend so hotel was full to bursting, very busy indeed with lots of loud party bookings..an experience but not quite ‘Grand’. Clubbing’ music playing all day and also at breakfast, which was frankly unnerving and weird. A pianist was playing on the Saturday night but they ...
Although described as dog-friendly, there wasn’t provision made for guests with dogs at breakfast. When we came down to breakfast we had to be sat in the bar area, but tables not laid out for us (knowing there were guests with a dog). The first morning we had to go and get all cutlery etc ourselves ...
Only down side no parking spaces for hotel.. Lovely breakfast and friendly staff.
Another lovely stay .... we stayed for breakfast this time (no child in tow) and it was lovely ... I asked for eggs florentine (gluten free) and expected it to come out on toast rather than muffin which it did but the toast was cut into a muffin shape... how thoughtful ... thank you ... see you ...
This was a weekend break partly for business reasons, partly visiting a friend. I had difficulty on arriving in Eastbourne to find parking close to the property. The Reception staff were very helpful in giving directions. This was a stay I will be repeating later if possible.
Nice hotel, good location right on the beach, close walk to the city centre, parks. Great fitness and pool facilities. Restaurant was good as well!!
My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. We booked the first night through Expedia for a discounted price, and then added an extra night - which the hotel staff kindly charged at the discounted rate. Room was clean and sheets etc were changed during the day. Shower was particularly good.
Location is great, 5 mins to seafront, on the main shopping street. Remarkably quiet. Staff very friendly & helpful. Basic breakfast but ample.
For any American traveling via Gatwick Airport please stay here for a Countryside English experience it’s only a 10 minute ride to and back from Gatwick Airport without any traffic
Fantastic value for the money. I booked last minute on a Monday evening so the rate was discounted. They upgraded to a a large sea facing twin room with an extra bed because they had empty rooms. The room was large clean. The bed could be more comfortable but the room was comfy. .
Delightful small hotel with a cheaper rate and ground floor single rooms. Nice bed with comfortable mattress and duvet, You have to ask for a second pillow if needed. Excellent buffet breakfast and shuttle from/to the airport.
Breakfast wasnt very good bed was comfortable staff were friendly
Late booking for business purpose. Excellent value for the price.Everything to my requirements for one night. My room was opposite access door, so rather noisy when guests entered the corridor to their rooms.
arrived 9-30am room was ready so was able to use wonderful service and friendly and happy staff restaurant food excellent no complaints whatsoever great stay would highly recommend
£75 for Saturday night including full breakfast, at a great central location, was very good value for money.
The hotel and room was basic but filled the need. The coming and going simple and a good nights sleep, other than Sunday when the room above me had a very active guest in it. Not anything management can do about it. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom adequate.
A well located hotel. Clean and tidy, if a little dated. Good room, spacious and comfortable. Good breakfast
Lovely staff excellent breakfast immaculate room the only downside is the nightclub goes on until 3.00 am but a good pair of earplugs negates this
Overnight stay, very convenient, near the beach, pier and Brighton lanes. Lots of lovely restaurants and bars nearby. Staff were a delight and the room very comfortable. Cooked breakfast very good but the continental breakfast buffet could do with some attention.
In all respects this was a good experience for comfort, room standard and restaurant service. The only aspect that could be improved was the hotel Wi Fi connection to the internet a problem encountered by other guests too.
This is a great hotel and I recomend it to anyone. Quality and customer service from a family owned establishment.
