I chose to stay here for two nights while I was visiting Glyndebourne. Carol and Ceri were so friendly and welcoming. They took such good care of me and made sure that I wanted for nothing. The room I was given was large and extremely comfortable with a private bathroom that overlooked the beautiful
garden. Breakfast was always delicious and served in the conservatory. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Friendly staff lovely rooms. Breakfast let it down, overcooked poached eggs and took ages to come.
Function sounded like it was in our room and we were at the top.
Have to park in road or in our case station which is a flat day rate of £6.10

The title of this review says it all. The staff were extremely friendly despite being really busy.
Food was really worth going out of your way for.
Our room was clean and comfortable. There was no TV, but that was a bonus for me.
Couldn't fault this pub, and would definitely recommend it.

We had a short, two night stay at the White Hart and only had breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast was very good and all the staff we met were pleasant and efficient. The hotel is steeped in history and is enjoyable to experience.

A beautiful old building, nicely converted for use as an hotel, with comfortable beds, large rooms and very attentive staff.
Room cleaning left a little to be desired (an empty plastic wrapper and the previous occupants bill - but he'd paid more than I was, so I wasn't really upset), and room 11 has only one mains socket and is above the courtyard where the kitchen staff congregate to talk loudly to eachother.
You're probably better off asking for a room at the back, but they might not be as nice as 11 was?
I didn't eat at the hotel at all, so I can't comment on the restaurant, but the menu did look promising, and if the standard of staffing continues there it should be excellent.
