Cons: working amenities!
Disappointing after a long move day to get to hotel to find out: 1. the pool was closed 2. our room had the toilet plugged 3. the phone didn't work.

A dump

Posted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: Nice staff. Good location.
Cons: No desk. There was a table, but no lighting. Bedside lamp not working. To work or read, you'd have to stand in the bathroom.
Location: Right across the road from U. of Idaho. Restaurants nearby.
I stayed here to save money. Afterward, I kicked myself for being cheap. I should have spent more for a better place.

Last Resort

Posted May 28, 2015
Pros: Check out time
Cons: Pretty much everything
There was what looked to be blood stains on the carpet, and overall it was dirty. The shower was very small, and the shower head was at chest level. The tv was fuzzy at best, only 2 channels were clear. The only thing decent was the bed, not bad considering everything else.

Pleasant surprise

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: That the rooms had been updated with new linens and room was clean. Really happy about the refrigerator ,micro and coffee maker.
Cons: Landscaping could improve. Better signage for the office. Walkways and stairs could use a good power-washing. There was a pungent odor in the office.
Location: Good location, close to shopping, restaurants and grocery store. Only 10 min from WSU and across the street from U of I.
This was the only hotel we could find on short notice for graduation 2015. My expectations were not high for this hotel so we were happy to find that the rooms were clean and looked like they had just been updated. Fresh paint, new linens. We really appreciated the refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We didn't think the room had any of those amenities and they looked brand new so that was a pleasant surprise. The staff was very friendly at the front desk as well as the maid service. We didn't use the continental breakfast so can't comment on that. This is not a fancy hotel and the rooms are small but it's a perfect place if you need a place for a few nights.

The room we stayed in was not very clean. Housekeeping staff should be fired and replaced. We stayed 2 nights and I was actually afraid to unpack and lay down. When we left to the WSU graduation, housekeeping came in to clean and did not do a thorough job. We tried to searching for other accommodations but unfortunately none were available. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

A place to sleep.

I liked the Palouse Inn. Clean. Quite. Friendly staff. I needed a place to sleep. Only thing. The bed was a little hard for my liking.

stayed 3 nights...never once got maid service :-\

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: the wifi worked well...didn't need a password, and stayed connected as long as you wanted without dropping you. didn't make up for the service though
Cons: The shower door had no "latch" to keep it closed...only gravity did that. toilet had no lid...looked like an airport toilet. Sink mounted too low.
Location: The location was great...walking distance to the University, and easy to find. Plenty of parking. decent breakfast included.
I stayed 3 nights and never once got my room cleaned. The first morning I can forgive, cuz I was there til about noon with the do not disturb sign on as I was trying to get some work done before going out. Apparently they saw the sign, checked once more and gave up. Ok...no harm, no foul, but there hadn't been any tissues in the box when I checked in, so later on my second day, when I returned, I went to the office to ask if I could get some tissues as I didn't get any maid service that day and there weren't any in the box when I arrived. The nice girl at the desk gave me the tissue box she had behind her desk cuz she didn't have any others and the maids had gone home. ....there was ONE tissue left in there...wooohoooo! I told her I'd be gone earlier in the morning the next day, and she left a note for the maid to be sure to bring me tissues(I was getting over a cold). Second morning maid knocks on the door at 9, hands me a box of tissues and starts to walk away. I said I'd be gone in 10 minutes if she wanted to do my room and she said "ok". well, 7 hours later I get back and my room was still not done. whatever! Wouldn't have been such a big deal if it hadn't been for my having visited the office and her assuring me that the maid WOULD do my room the next day. ...guess they save a lot on payroll when the maid doesn't clean a room for 3 days. ...problem is they dont pass that savings on to the customer...pretty pricey for what you get...I wont be returning.

Motel 6 at a Best Western price

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Not much
Cons: Most everything
Location: Near U of Idaho and mall.
Room very small, but decently clean. Facility is dated and needs maintenance (door weather stripping coming off, shower head pipe collar loose, carpet stained). Breakfast is skimpy and served in front office with no room for chairs - you have to take it back to your room. When the place has a bullet-proof teller's window for late check-ins, you have to wonder ... There always seems to be something going on in Moscow because of the U of Idaho, so motels get booked regardless. This motel was way over-priced for what you get, but I guess there is enough room demand to get away with it.

Close to the campus

Except for the heater that was a little noisey, everything was great; The internet, the breakfast, and mainly the excellent customer service.
