Very accommodating staff

Posted Sep 21, 2016
Pros: The rooms in the newer wing were very large
Location: Good location and they have a shuttle to take you places
After you have been in your room for an hour the desk calls to see if all is good. I liked this. Any of the staff I spoke with were ready to help.

Dingy, loud and old hotel with uncomfortable beds

Posted Sep 19, 2016
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: Some fast food places nearby, it's in a parking lot with a closed Sports Authority
Did not have super high expectations for this hotel, but it was the only place left available for WSU's Future Coug Weekend. My son and I arrived at 9:45 pm after driving in a circle for a while and finally finding the entrance in the same parking lot as an empty strip mall. We were greeted by a nice woman at the front desk who got us checked in quickly and directed us to the tower(apparently if you book through Expedia you get a "less desirable room"). We grabbed our luggage and hiked over to the next building and up 3 floors, put in our key, flipped on the light and were greeted by a sleeping family! Yup, they gave us keys to someone else's room!! No phone in the hall on that floor so trek all the way back down to be told, they are pre-assigned I have no idea how that happened. Pretty sure she transposed the numbers since she gave us keys to 710 and the next room she put us in was 701. Back up to the room and wow was it crappy and old, and we do travel ball so we know crappy and old. There is no closet in the rooms, just a cupboard that is too narrow for the hangers to hang straight, with an ironing board that had a huge stain on it. There was dried something that looked like blood on the bathroom counter, the beds were extremely hard, one thin blanket on each and very old worn out pillows. Asked for more blankets and was brought a duvet cover! And on top of that, the drapes didn't fit the window so the parking lot lights were right in our faces all night!

Nice Hotel for Lewiston

Posted Aug 26, 2016
Pros: For it's age the rooms are very nice. I have also always had excellent service with the staff.
Cons: The pool was freezing!!! It was in the upper 80's at the time we went to swim but the water was too cold to get into for everyone.
Location: They do have a fitness center, restaurant, & lounge. The hotel overlooks the river, is close to the downtown area with fast food in walking distance.
We always stay at the Red Lion when we go to Lewiston. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms a nice size. We've had some bad times with foul customers in the halls and rooms around ours but that's not the fault of the hotel. We swim in the pool and lounge in the hot tub. We have always enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant and the front desk is always willing to help. The location is excellent and easily accessible. There are also fast food restaurants within walking distance.

Clean, comfortable and excellent staff

Older hotel but exceptionally clean and a great staff. They were completely booked but handled the crowd efficiently & with a smile. The attached sports bar had remarkably good food and the patio was pleasant & comfortable. Would stay again anytime!

Cons: Security - many outside doors are not secure during the night hours.
Was a bit over-rated. Breakfast is not "free" since it is limited to an amount on the menu less $10 but the buffet is free but very limited.

We apologize if you felt unsafe. We want all guests to feel safe and secure. All outside doors are locked by our staff at 9pm at the latest and can only be oped with guest key card. The keys will not work after a guest has checked out.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that you were not fully satisfied with your stay. We do offer a breakfast rate that can be added in with your hotel stay. It is ten dollars for two adults. We will meet with our room attendants to go over this issue. If there are personal belongings on a bed, they cannot move them to make the bed up. We hope you understand as we do not want to overstep boundaries with personal belongings. Best regards, RLHL
