Dingy, loud and old hotel with uncomfortable beds

Did not have super high expectations for this hotel, but it was the only place left available for WSU's Future Coug Weekend. My son and I arrived at 9:45 pm after driving in a circle for a while and finally finding the entrance in the same parking lot as an empty strip mall. We were greeted by a nice woman at the front desk who got us checked in quickly and directed us to the tower(apparently if you book through Expedia you get a "less desirable room"). We grabbed our luggage and hiked over to the next building and up 3 floors, put in our key, flipped on the light and were greeted by a sleeping family! Yup, they gave us keys to someone else's room!! No phone in the hall on that floor so trek all the way back down to be told, they are pre-assigned I have no idea how that happened. Pretty sure she transposed the numbers since she gave us keys to 710 and the next room she put us in was 701. Back up to the room and wow was it crappy and old, and we do travel ball so we know crappy and old. There is no closet in the rooms, just a cupboard that is too narrow for the hangers to hang straight, with an ironing board that had a huge stain on it. There was dried something that looked like blood on the bathroom counter, the beds were extremely hard, one thin blanket on each and very old worn out pillows. Asked for more blankets and was brought a duvet cover! And on top of that, the drapes didn't fit the window so the parking lot lights were right in our faces all night!
