Adults-only vacation home in Lexington
Adjacent to acres of green space (previously a golf course) and 4.5 miles of walking and bicycle paths (formerly the golf cart path). Located close to I-75 and I-64, Lexington's premier shopping area (Hamburg), and with easy access to the Kentucky Horse Park (80% of the 15-mile route is on interstate highway). Two bedrooms with king beds, one bedroom with two queen beds, another bedroom with a queen bed, a sleeper sofa in a common area; two roll-away twin beds an a crib are also available upon request. Three of the bedrooms have bathrooms en suite! Two 65" televisions in common areas with YouTubeTV and Netflix subscriptions, plus Roku (you can connect to your own streaming subscriptions). Over 90% of furnishings (furniture, towels and linens, televisions, kitchen small appliances, dishes, etc.) are new as of October 2018. Although listed for a maximum of 15 people, that's an arbitrary number because it depends on your sleeping arrangements/needs. 2.1 miles: Hamburg Area (major/modern shopping and dining) 2.8 miles: I-75/64 entrance 4.2 miles: Sam's Club 4.6 miles: Walmart 5.3 miles: Costco 5.7 miles: Ashland Henry Clay Estate 6.9 miles: University of Kentucky 7.0 miles: Rupp Arena / Convention Center 7.6 miles: Commonwealth Stadium (football) 8.3 miles: Red Mile Race Track 15.0 miles: Keeneland Race Track 15.0 miles: Lexington Airport 15.0 miles: Kentucky Horse Park 30.0 miles: Wild Turkey Distillery 50.0 miles: Ark Encounter ~~~~~ In accordance with zoning ordinances and/or to address problems that have occurred with past guests, the following rules are enforced: (1) MAXIMUM OF 4 UNRELATED INDIVIDUALS (i.e., not related by blood, marriage, or adoption) due to zoning restrictions on single-family housing. (2) MAXIMUM AWAKE-TIME VISITORS on the property is one per paid guest at any given time (for example, if you have 5 paid guests then you can have a maximum of 5 additional awake-time visitors in the house at any one time). If you anticipate having more visitors than paid guests then you must obtain written permission (to do so, write to me with the purpose for the visitors, the total number of visitors, and the day/time range that they will be visiting). (3) QUIET TIME is 10pm to 7am. This is a quiet family neighborhood; if the neighbors can hear your voices, your music, or anything else of your creation from their property then you are too loud. (4) INTERFERING WITH THE SECURITY SYSTEM IS PROHIBITED. This includes tampering with, disabling, repositioning, or covering the cameras or security system equipment. (FYI, video/audio cameras are positioned to watch the entire perimeter of the house and in the garage; there are no cameras inside the living area of the house itself.) Most guests followed these common-sense rules even before they became explicit rules, but those who didn't have upset the neighbors. Therefore, failure to comply with these rules can result in police involvement, eviction, and/or forfeiture of the deposit. Please note that the neighbors are aware that this is a short-term rental and I have encouraged them to call the police and/or me if problems arise. That said, follow these common-sense rules and everyone will be happy. :)
Air-conditioned accommodations at this vacation home offer fireplaces and coffee/tea makers. Rooms open to patios. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and separate dining areas. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations and hair dryers. Cribs/infant beds are also available.
