Not worth the price
We paid more than another hotel close by because it had 8.4, but the mattress was terrible (felt spring) and the pillows are so small. The sofa bed was not great either. Service was nice at night. Breakfast at 7AM is way too late.

Closest hotel to Virginia Horse Center. They know it's for equestrians. Hot breakfast is basic but nice to have. Pool helps for kids. Staff are the NICEST PEOPLE YOU WILL EVER MEET. Several have worked there for years, and they all genuinely appear to be a family. I heard the manager tell a breakfast attendant she loved her after checking in. I heard a hispanic employee teaching his sweet co-workers how to speak Spanish. It's become a home away from home for us at Virginia Horse Center shows for our daughter. With that being said, it needs a little love. The key card system doesn't work. We had to get our keys remade every. single. time. we got back - and we had two rooms with the same issue. Please lordy help this loyal, wonderful employees with a new card system. The finishes need a little love, and the electrical outlets in the bathrooms are frankly terrifying. They need replaced. The hotel was VERY clean and maintained as well as it could be with it's age. Cheers! We'll be back.

Convenient but more sound proofing would be an improvement. Coffee/hot cocoa bar and free breakfast was a Plus. Everyone was amazed at the ‘no touch’ pancake maker too!

this place sucks
our entire room was filled with black mold. the smell was so overwhelming and when we told the front desk that we were not going to stay the night because of it, they brushed it off as if they hear it all the time. the place probably should be condemned because its a major health hazard to subject people to that.

We have no rooms with mold. Since you posted an anonymous review there is no way to know that you had an interaction with our hotel or staff. An accusation of this severity you would warrant providing your information as we could address it. However since you did not this is not an legitimate complaint.

Only as a last resort
I don’t know if the their vacuums were broken during our stay but it didn’t seem the hallways were touched while we were there. The sink clogged in the bathroom clogged to the point we had to wash our hands with the tub faucet. When I mentioned it to the front desk they were apathetic acting like I was trying to get a some refund or compensation. The last thing I wanted because I just to leave. The place is just sloppy. That is the best way to describe it.

Not what I expected from BWP
The Inn is fairly tired in appearance relative to the interior spaces. My prior experience with BWP has been very up-to-date and modern, so this was somewhat disappointing. The desk and breakfast staff were very nice. Breakfast selections were disappointing for the two nights we spent: Western omlettes (can't do peppers) and biscuits and gravy. A regular scrambled egg option would have been nice. Coffee in the rooms was great, but the coffee in the breakfast area was not good at all. The beds were comfortable, and the Inn was nice and quiet. We had a balcony, which was great! I am so over the lack of daily room touch-ups "due to covid." Towels were okay for 2 nights, but I had to go to the front desk to ask for coffee for the second morning.

Decent hotel - good value for the cost
Room was clean and comfortable, complimentary breakfast was decent and all of the staff we met was friendly and willing to help. Our ONLY complaint was the pool was not well maintained (a light was hanging out of its opening in the pool) and it looked like it had been a little bit since the last time it was vacuumed. Decent value for the money, plenty of parking and the AC worked (I’ve traveled a lot lately and this is the first hotel out of 7 that had AC in the room that got down to below 74).

Cleanlines is outstanding. The place is quite there is only one minor problem about the door it need a little bit of repair. Aside from that I didn’t see anything.

I like the historical architecture of the property and the cleanliness of the rooms. The continental breakfast was really good as well and it surprised me. The rooms do lack some ventilation but the AC units work very well. It does seem a little humid when it’s more humid outside.

The. check in was efficient and provided helpful information that we needed. The room was updated, clean, quiet. The breakfast provided a lot of choices. During our evening, our car broke down and had to be towed to a repair shop. The guest services manager drove us to get our car. That is service above any expe. We will return on our next trip through Lexington.

Great place to stay
Loved this part of our stay. Room very comfortable and we had a balcony to sit out on that we took advantage of each day we were here. IT was a nice place to stay, I would recommend.
