Grand, Horsey KY

Pros: The feel of the place. Lobby layout & decor---some leather chairs and one magnificent antique.
High point is the inviting lobby, which feels more like a small, intimate club of the old school with furniture arrangement and side room that invite small groupings of people to participate in conversation. Decor is of the Kentucky horse. I usually avoid lobbies, but spent some time in this one. Staff members were pleasant and responsive. Room smaller than I'd like, but clean, well-maintained, and nicely furnished. Would have liked some way to replace a forgotten antiperspirant; other common cosmetics in room. No time to try the cafe.

Great location

Pros: Location
Nice HOTEL. Was listed under B&B 's and isn't. Air conditioner blew directly down onto bed, the front door (right below our room) BANGED shut , even at 2:30 and 5:30 in the morning. Restaurant was really good, but their staff needs to have or willing to give information about the inn.

wonderful historic hotel

Posted Nov 1, 2011
Location: Historic district-beautiful houses, unique restaurants and shops.
We were in Lexington for 2 days and had wanted to stay in the historic district and booked a room at Gratz Park Inn. This is an inviting, comfortable, historic hotel that is located in a beautiful neighborhood in which restaurants and shops are a short walk. There was some noise from a fan located adjacent to the room but this was a well maintained, lovely place to stay.

Cute boutique hotel, located downtown Lexington in Historic district. Great restaurants surround hotel. Very accomidating staff, free internet, free parking, free bottled water. All just nice touches. Will stay here again while in Lexington. Highly rated restaurant inside hotel. However, needed another night to be able to try. Locals said it is great

Unique and satisfying

The hotel staff were extremely helpful. Spent any amount of time explaining the area, directions, and places to visit. The bed linens were outstanding. Good location to stroll around Lexington.

comfortable and convenient

Posted Nov 3, 2010
This is a nice small hotel within walking distance to downtown activities. Staff is very friendly upon arrival. They make a big point of telling you when breakfast is but all you will get is coffee in the lobby-this is not the Hampton Inn. Parking is great and easy. Beds are super comfortable. There is a great-but expensive restaurant in the hotel featuring an up and coming almost famous chef.

Hotel is very old and in need of repairs

Posted May 12, 2006
The air conditioning was not working properly, the toilet above us leaked into our bathroom and living room. The towels and bedding were not of good quality. There was a street light outside our window, the blinds did not block out the light.
