A favorite in the Bluegrass

Posted Nov 19, 2017
We always stay at this hotel when in Lexington. This time we got a room which was not as nice as usual. It was rather small and cramped on the concierge level- and it was more expensive then the other rooms. The bed was uncomfortable.

Great location but poor value

Posted Oct 20, 2017
Location is great...easy access to all Lexington has to offer. And although its upscale, way too expensive for such old outdated property. The website photos show a stately white mansion.....turns out thats an event venue on the campus (which was unaccessable in preparation of a wedding). In reality its a typical 1970s era multistory building. Just a standard hotel room with Bathrooms so small you have to wiggle around the toilet to get the door to close without hitting you.....no way a second person can be in the room. Resort fee (which is added to the already overpriced room rate) should be optional.....didn't use the pool, workout room, or play golf. Really not as bad as my review makes it sound.....was just not what we expected. Will look for alternatives on next trip to lexington. Maybe there are none??

Greetings Sonny and please accept our sincere apologies for any disappointment with our beds. We actually use Tempur-Pedic mattresses due to our relationship with the company's headquarters here in Lexington. Many guests rave about the upgraded mattresses. We're terribly sorry that you did not enjoy and we appreciate the feedback. On behalf of our entire team, we thank you for visiting and we are very sorry for the situation with your bed.

Average hotel for luxury price.

$300 balcony room was comparable to average $100 franchise motel, but without free breakfast. Balcony was small and poorly furnished. Views are not similar to promotional photo. Very disappointing.

Weekend getaway to the arc encounter

Our first room had a pet urine smell so they gave us another room very quick. Once we got to the new room it was great! No complaints. Clean, friendly staff

We booked a room with large patio and picture of that room on this site shows a patio with couch and chairs on patio. Our patio was large but only had 2 chairs on it. A lot of wasted space. Pool and pool attendant were great. Room was clean. Hotel was noisy all night and in early morning

This hotel is in desperate need for a major re do. The balcony was so dirty I could not even have used it.the hotels windows and walls need a complete makeover.
