OK, but just.

Pros: Bathroom was in very good shape.
Cons: Old, faded, run-down, minimally maintained.
Location: Richmond is home to Eastern Kentucky University. Midway between Lexington and Berea.
I was in the area for a job interview; therefore, I did not want to spend a lot of money. I got a very inexpensive rate. This property is not one I would take my family to, but as a single traveler needing an inexpensive place to sleep, this minimally suited my purposes. The important thing is that the bathroom and sink area were just fine. Only one cigarette burn on the edge of the tub. The bed was OK. There was no alarm clock or box of Kleenex. The phone was an old fashioned touchtone phone. I called to leave a wake up call but no one answered. The room heater was a little finicky. The AC was OK but the heater took a little while before it came on. The floor was vacuumed, although the carpeting was old and stained. The wallpaper is peeling and one of the lights was out. There were a couple of cigarette burns on the bedspread. There was a TV in the room but no guide to what channels were available. The gentleman at the desk checked me in efficiently and politely.

Too shabby for the price

Pros: The a/c worked.
Cons: Update it, clean it up.
Location: A better hotel, probably, and the freeway.
Had to stay here on VERY short notice, so at least they were able to accommodate us as far as that goes & it was appreciated. Anyway, not the worst condition I've ever seen, but certainly not worth the $65.95 price tag. Felt...skeevy really. Maybe we were paranoid, but it just didn't feel clean or safe. But at least the air worked.

Cons: The cleanliness of the rooms & the sheets. Better pillows,
Really nice owners of this hotel, so I wish I could rate it higher. They are working very hard to make it better. I didn't feel comfortable staying there because there was debris on the sheets, and the condition of the room was pretty run down. However, the refund was granted me very cheerfully and they did offer another room to me. I appreciated their calmness and gentle spirit in this transaction.

Never again

Never again will I stay at a Knight's Inn. I was lured in by the low price, but we got what we paid for - no hot water, a poorly cleaned room, a stale smelling carpet, and a nervous night's sleep.

cheap in every way.

No alarm clock, no iron. Basically you pay for 2 beds and a tv. The doors are old fashioned keys. Needs a lot of upgrading.

Once you get beyond the deferred maintenance, the hotel was very comfortable in a convenient location at an affordable price.

Though somewhat aged, the motel provided good basic comforts and amenities. Very quiet and peaceful.

run down

it was run down, carpets need replacing. sheet seemed clean but over all effect made it seen dirty.
