Rooms are dated and were not clean to the extent you would expect. The management allowed disruptions in the hallway well past 1AM will little concern or intervention. At $300 /night well over priced for the value of the experience.

Dinner at the restaurant was great, but the hotel itself left a lot to be desired. The room had paint and carpet that looked like bad DIY work, as did the fixtures in the bathroom. Not what I expected for the price I paid.

Outside was nice but inside was not. Room smelled awful and bathroom was disgusting. Bed was so uncomfortable. No pool no breakfast. Worst hotel we’ve stayed at on our entire vacation. Won’t be back.

Really nice hotel - rooms are small though. Really close to UK’s campus which is why we stayed there. Wish they had a continental breakfast offering with your stay - but there is a Dunkin across the street and a restaurant connected to the hotel

The guy at the front desk started it off being very marginally friendly. I guess he was ok, but you just expect someone to be welcoming, but he wasnt (maybe he felt bad or was having a bad day) The place is a maze , looks to have been built 70 or so years ago. They have painted it a nice warm country blue and updated it, and its fairly nice . yet there are parts of it that are "musty" and very dated. The room itself is nice, with a nice TV and cooling/heating system. Beds are soft and comfortable. The shower pressure was very poor, and there is nothing to keep the water from going over to the rest of the floor- so we had to put towels down. Not that huge of a deal but still just odd. We had a plumbing incident, but called front desk and a super nice, super efficient guy came to the room within ten minutes and resolved the issue. My wife woke up the next morning and had a few small bites on her face and neck. I am not insinuating it was bed bugs, I dont know? something very small bit her, during the night. For the price of the place, with no breakfast, a very marginally nice front desk person , low shower pressure and a just a weird maze of an antiquated, old building its just not worth the price. I am sure this classic building had its day, and it has some horse business charm to it.. but its one of those places that needs to be on extreme make-over that gets complete face lift. There is a nice Bar area , and the workers there were very nice. its just a very weird old vibe

I was a little worried of the other reviews when booking, but personally I really enjoyed staying here. Yes the hallways and rooms don’t necessarily match the lobby or the restaurant, and yes the bathrooms are small, but that didn’t matter to us. I didn’t really notice a musty odor or anything like that. I thought the staff all around was super friendly, and it was a great location for what we were wanting!

The outside area around entry doors were unkept, large “nests” of spider webs with bugs suspended from them. Our bathroom tub had a small pool of what looked like blood in it. We threw a towel over it and did not use it during our overnight stay. The room was huge but the bathroom small, so small that the bathroom door opened into the toilet.

The restaurant food was terrible and overpriced. The room walls are incredibly thin and we heard running water all night long along with the neighbors entire conversation and activities. Two nights for $500 is a bit much for this stay.

Expected much more. My first stay here wa pretty good. This time… poor. Our bathroom was still dirty when we arrived. The sink was an “add on”. Service in restaurant was terrible even though they weren’t really busy. Has great opportunity to be amazing hotel in Lexington. Update the paint- update the hallway carpets- Update the rooms …update to the quality of the lobby (match the entry and lobby and entertaining area quality of finishes and paints and lighting and decor. Not sure I’ll stay here again.

Sleepless Night due to Loud Bar Patrons
The hotel is very nice and service was great. However, our room was situated right above the reception desk/common/bar area and there were people down there partying until at least 2 am. It was so loud we might as well have been down there with them. We have another upcoming stay and we requested a room far from all the noise.
