Worst St. Regis Experience
Unhappy about: I required ‘higher floor’ when I made the booking and they put me on the G/F at a corner with no sunlight and with no privacy where you would see some staff walking by out of the windows from time to time. I went back to the receptionist to complain and she told me that she was actually ‘doing me a favor’ to have put me in that room... ?? The desk area in the room had cigarette smell and the bathroom had some urine odor. Given I was tired from my flight so I accepted the night and went for a shower, then the shower room freaking flooded! I put on ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode before bedtime, then a housekeeping lady called me at 9:15am and asked if she could clean the room... ? Fried chicken at the bar was dry like paper and the waitstaff were under service and insincere. I went to the spa to find out more details about the treatments. No one was at the reception. I sat there and waited for 10mins still no one showed up. Happy about: I talked to another receptionist and the next day he changed my room to the 6/F with sunlight (yay!) and I could confirm that the previous room was some broken backup room - even the glass doors separating the shower and toilet stalls were removed! And the TV had no signal. In-room dining service was good and efficient. In-house clinic with a responsible Chinese doctor. Conclusion: It’s such a pity when the brand and the hardware is there, but some frontline staff needs some serious training.

Decent stay for Lhasa.
We had an amazing room with view of mountains all around. The only downfall was that the hot water was not hot, rather lukewarm. Having being on the long distance train for nearly 24 hours we just wanted to shower and be comfortable. Sounds sad but we ended up boiling water in order to take a hot bath with the little kettle they had. We reported this and were offered a new room however the water temperature was the same so we decided to keep our old room and the views were more superior. We did enjoy late afternoons in the room and just relaxing as the sun shone through the December cold. Despite this the room as very well priced for a St Regis stay and I did like the porcelain teacups when I had a cuppa. At this level it's all in the detail that matters.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, lovely room and a wonderful St Regis experience, especially during pre Christmas, they decorated the hotel with Christmas ornaments, played Christmas music throughout and had Christmas carolers before dinner and Santa Claus giving little presents with cookies to the diners. Would definitely stay with them again.

It was a very good stay! Very pleased with friendly service. Everybody willing to help with any questions or needs! At the restaurant, TBTB was very helpful and pleasant. Kevin, the rooms manager, was great! I believe it is the best Hotel in the area.

Excellent stay at St regis Lhasa
Fantastic hotel. Exceptional rooms and service. The language barrier is there but I LtV little. Restaurants fantastic, especially the Social BD the roof bar isn’t excellent

I was really looking forward to my stay at the St. Regis, but while their property is really nice and new, the staff and service leaves a lot to be desired. Starting from beginning to end, I highlight my key issues: 1. check-in: the woman that checked me in seemed frazzled, rushed and did the least welcoming greeting of any nice hotel I've ever stayed at. 2. Dining: my server barely knew the menu and couldn't really answer any of my basic questions about the menu. Later I dined at the Chinese restaurant they have downstairs and waited one hours for my bowl of noodle soup to arrive. 3. Room: I was in a "non-smoking" room that smelled like smoke. 4. Valet/transportation: when I asked for the cab, the men at the front door couldn't really properly explain where to catch a cab and ultimately I just ended walking around town.

Cannot compair to other St Regis elsewhere but understood that this is Lhasa.... Breakfast is not up to par and you have to get your own coffee in a machine which needed maintenance ! After a few days I finally got the hang of it. They have many staff hanging around but why not assign one for this job like most Shangri la did. Other services are generally good but I do expect more for the name.

Great Place To Stay
The hotel staff is exceptional and very attentive. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The beds were a bit firm which is the reason for my downgrade on the rooms. The common areas of the hotel...ie...carpets, etc...are a bit run down and could use an upgrade. That was the only reason for my overall downgrade considering it's a St Regis where I always expect the best.

Should have been excellent but missed the mark
PROS: 1. location is excellent 2. size of room 3. size of bathroom 4. design of hotel CONS: 1. check in complex and false information given (e.g. told we couldn’t use our Amex card, but were actually able to use it when we checked out) 2. insufficient lighting in ALL areas of the hotel, including the dining room, the pathway from the main hotel block to the Building 5, and especially inside the rooms – overall very dark and substandard 3. internet slow and intermittent 4. music in dining room and lobby appalling and invasive (bad music, and played too loudly) 5. layout of buffet area was unusual. Did not flow. Seafood suspicious. Food overall was not hot, e g. hot soups served cool/cold; 6. blinds in dining room need to be raised to let in light. Too dark. 7. Impossible to darken the bedroom completely – always a light on behind the bed and under the sinks in the bathroom 8. Dangerous layout, with step from bathroom to bedroom 9. Air conditioning in room was impossible to control – always either too hot or too cold with 3 different controllers 10. Toiletries were substandard for a hotel charging this price 11. Elevator not working properly

We had a great view of the Potola Palace from the hotel. The room was clean and large. All the staffs were courteous and friendly. Breakfast buffet was good.

Phenomenal service
Fantastic service with a pretty good location (10-15 minute walk to Jokhang Temple). I was upgraded to a villa, however, facing the street, it was rather loud. My only complaint is my shower could've used a cleaning--the corners were grimy, the rain shower head was half-clogged, and the drain was very slow, making for a large puddle while in use.

Beautiful hotel in a magical place!
Wonderful place to stay. Very centered, with beautiful installations and a very helpful and English speaking staff. Be sure to visit the spa and the wine bar outside.

Não parece um hotel St Regis!!!
Hotel muito bem localizado mas a sensação é que anda abandonado e sem um comando. O hotel precisa e manutenção , treinamento de funcionários ( que até são simpáticos e têm boa vontade!). Pouquíssimos no hotel falam inglês ( meu checkout foi feito graças ao Google tradutor!) . Mas a maior decepção foi estarem com a Piscina dourada e spa fechados ( maior atração do hotel). Nem se deram ao trabalho de comunicar previamente. Isso é imperdoável . Ficamos de escolher entre esse hotel e o Shangri-lá e a piscina foi o ponto de decisão . Ou seja, pagamos por um hotel 5 estrelas e recebemos um 4 estrelas.... Não sei quanto tempo a piscina ficará fechada mas é obrigação comunicar aos futuros hóspedes para que eles decidam se vale a pena ficar lá sem usufruir tudo o que eles pagaram .....

总体来说还是很不错的,优惠的价格,宽敞的房间,舒适的床垫。唯一不足的就是设备设施的维护不够。不过酒店的员工很热情,微笑很真诚。

定的三人间,但是卫生间的洗手池有一个堵了 ,在酒店大厅拍照时 把毛衣落在沙发上了 第二天退房后发现的 打电话给酒店 却得到没找到的回复 我相信住五星级的旅客 不会去拿别人拉下的毛衣 所以问题就只能考虑是酒店员工了。洗浴用品也不齐全 感觉档次很一般 早餐还要单独定不包含在住宿费当中 性价比很一般 提供的餐饮完全不是五星级的层次 哎不说了 总之不推荐这家酒店 虽然它的位置不错

别墅房对着庭院的落地玻璃门不能打开,相当于房间没有窗户。房间挺大,地暖效果很好,房间有加湿器。总体不错。

酒店硬件条件不错,所处位置也很好,在酒店大堂,坐在靠椅上可以看到远处的布达拉宫。前台服务很热情,办理入住的时候马上送上热茶,并献上哈达。但是到房间以后,发现书桌上有剪下来的一小堆指甲壳,准备用杯子喝水,发现水杯里面还有没洗净(或者根本没洗?)的咖啡,浴缸的搁衣板上面有明显的灰尘。给服务台打电话,让人来收拾指甲壳,半天没有人来。总之,这样的卫生与瑞吉的品牌严重不符,希望在做好硬件建设的同时,更加注重细节的品质
