Very much a top notch Hilton Hotel. Only down side is the price of breakfast at $20.00 per person. I have spent well over a year traveling in Costa Rica and 90% of all hotels include breakfast with the room fee. The problem with this hotel is if you don't want to pay the $20.00 it cost $40.00 for a round trip taxi into town ( I checked).

Big surprise when I was checking in at 3:30 pm and was told that spa will close at 4pm and that I could go that afternoon, big disappointed about this, because for me the best time to go to the spa, aka, hot springs is on the afternoon or sunset time, then dinner and go to sleep like a baby all relaxed.
Well, then went to my cabin with a big disappointment, ready to take a hot shower to relax after a long drive with the intention on going to the beautiful bar at the edge of the mountain that have an incredible sunset view, but oh surprise the shower fixture wasn't working properly and as a builder can totally tell you that need a replacement and then when my girlfriend used the toilet it will not flush, yes again as a builder know this things and had to open the tank and hook the chain, but since it was very loose it will keep setting free most of the times you flushed the toilet, I just decided to flow with all this and don't spoiled my get away for a night of my busy life a couple hours by the beach.

The hotel is nice, big, comfortable. The only bad thing is the Disco place near the hotel that plays music very loudly. Other than this, the hotel is comfortable, spacious and the staff is very attentive.

This accommodation met our basic needs. We stayed for 3 nights but 2 nights would have been better -there isn't alot to do in this neck of the woods once you have climbed to the waterfall and seen the bubbling mud pots. It was very hot in March -thankfully there was AC. Also a lovely veranda to sit under and a refreshing river and swimming hole on the property. This is advertised as a working ranch -it was just a hay ranch, no animals. Breakfast was the same every day -another reason to stay only one or two nights.

I would say everything was great except for one thing that kinda ruined it for us...it was HOT! The value for the room was great, but it was so hot and they had no AC. It was just a fan in the center of the room, we had it at full speed but its not enough to combat the heat and humidity of the area. Plus, it made a click sound everytime it went around, so it made it difficult to sleep all night!
