Suppose you can't expect much more for the pricePosted Jul 31, 2017
Pros: proximity garden for breakfast (but a bit ugly in terms of landscaping) tiny balcony bike hire
Cons: Aircon would be great! Furnishings all very faded and carpets tatty- bedroom doors look like temporary partition doors.
Location: close to main town part of venice lido close to lido beach bike hire handy from the hotel but more expensive (obviously) than from town
Would recommend to anyone travelling to Venice in the heat of summer to rather stay in a hotel with air-con. The room was a bit dark and poky- adequate but nothing great. Quiet side of town but neighbours partying until 2am meant disturbed sleep as well as being roasting hot with only the help of a small floor fan. Most of the reception staff friendly enough but one very abrupt guy who demanded my daughters passport when she came to the hotel to visit and was really quite rude. (language barrier?) Close to the beach and easy walk into town so that was good. Chose this place as it was close to where my daughter was working for the summer. Overall wouldn't stay again.

charm and characterPosted May 23, 2017
Pros: The hotel had grace and character, staff friendly, helpful, location peaceful and pleasant after the bustle of Venice, particularly enjoyed the garden
Cons: Hot water could be a tad hotter and the flow of cold water improved but nothing like at all a serious matter likely to detract from the stay.
Location: Within ten minutes of both the town, water bus stop and beach, very close to decent places to eat yet far enough off the beaten track to be peaceful
quirky interesting hotel well placed between the beach, town and easy access to Venice. While the rooms could do with an update they were spacious and full of charm and character proper period feel to both the rooms and the hotel overall. Staff friendly and helpful, told in the paperwork our room would not be ready till two we fully expected a wait when we arrived at twelve but were given our room straight away. breakfast taken in the pleasant garden most mornings a particular joy.

Not at all like the pictures on the websitePosted May 9, 2017
The hotel is ok, if you don't expect what the pictures show. The rooms are clean. The bed is old but somewhat comfortable. The rooms are sparse and the to was tiny. Breakfast is continental but ok. Good location and staff where pleasant and helpful. No bar

Great base for a trip to VenicePosted May 1, 2017
Found this hotel a really convenient place to stay while visiting Venice and surrounding islands. Only 10 minute walk from the water bus stop. The area was really quiet and safe, but with plenty of places to shop and eat nearby. Hotel staff were fantastic - always greeting guests with a smile and happy to help where they can. Beds weren't the most comfortable and a bit creaky but after a busy day walking this wasn't too much of a problem.

Beware! No air conditioning means unbearable heatPosted Jul 13, 2016 on Hotels
It was torture. No air conditioning meant that the room was like a sauna at 30 degrees celcius...unbearable!!! Thank God we were able to check out the following morning
