shuttle service

Our biggest problem was being picked up by there shuttle service at airport. twice we needed transportation and had to call numerous times. would see them drive by but they wouldnt stop. we were in the right loading area too. Only other thing was a little troublesome was in it came time for poolside bar to stop happy hour it was done! ends at 430 and the 1 day we ordered at 4:34 and it was sorry no can do. No big issues just little things

Beautiful beachfront resort near airport

Pros: Ocean views from the resort are stunning, and are in close proximity to the accommodations, just a few steps away. Convenient access to airport.
Cons: Checking for cleanliness, as we were bitten by bugs multiple times over the course of our stay. More flexibility on check-out time extension requests.
Location: Lihue airport is just minutes away. To the south, Spouting Horn, Koloa, happy hour at Garden Island Grille (Koloa). To the north, Donkey Beach, Kapaa.
The resort is in a convenient, easily accessible location nearby the airport. I would recommend taking advantage of the valet parking, as it is included in the daily resort fee that you will pay. As an Expedia VIP member, the hotel provided an upgrade on my reservation from a mountain view to an ocean view. We also received complimentary coupons for shave ice at the hotel. The upgrade was exceptional, as the view from our balcony was gorgeous, overlooking the water at the closest point of the hotel to the beach. The only downsides were that: (1) we were unable to receive an extension on our checkout time from the 11am standard checkout time, (2) we could not charge directly to our room bill to receive quarters to do laundry (instead we had to visit the on-site ATM to make a withdrawal and then have bills changed to coins), and (3) we were both bitten by bugs several times during our stay. Were it not for these three issues, it would have been a five-star review.

True Aloha Spirit

Pros: Staff so friendly, loving, and nice to my family! True aloha spirit was present in each and every staff member and this made our vacation so pleasant!
Cons: At least one pool could be warmer, for the older folks. The kids had no problem and plunged right in! Everything else was perfect!
Location: Beach access at hotel, but not good for swimming. Close to airport, K Mart, Walmart, Hilo Hattie, Lydgate Park (snorkel, playground), cafes.
Staff is so nice and friendly, they embody the aloha spirit. Food is excellent, room is posh and beds so very comfortable. Quiet, tropical ambiance reigns. Maid service was the best I ever experienced. Child-friendly place with water slide pool, and sandy bottom shallow pool. Separate hot tub spas for adults and kids. I just wish one of the 4 pools had been heated as I visited in the winter and it was a bit hard for this 67-year-old body to get used to the temp. in the pools.Bar entertainment could focus a bit more on authentic Hawaiian music. Hula welcome show was fabulous, however! Enjoyed the resort activities, especially lei-making. Concierge so helpful in booking our luau tix. I would come back here in a heartbeat, in fact, I wish I was back right now! Christmas decorations were over the top! I love this resort!

Horrible hotel

Stay away elevator not functioning had to use staff elevator inside the dirty linen area.

Family Friendly

Very bad hotel, we can nit recommend to go there

Pros: to be honest the hotel was very bad (details see section above)
Cons: Customer Orientation and help if people need help Renovation of rooms --> mold in rooms is not acceptable
- reserved room was not available when we arrived, assigned new room which was words ( we payed ocean view an received a pool view) - room was very dirty, heavy mold smell in the room, wet walls - guest elevator was broken when we arrived and the promise was that it will be repaired next day - after our entire stay (9 days) the elevator was still broken and we had to use the service elevator with access over technical rooms - as Expedia customers the hotel staff treated us bad in comparison to guests who booked directly - I Ried to call 3 times Expedia and asked for help, unfortunately they didn't care - as intensive user of Expedia we were so disappointed that we decided not to use Expedia anymore in future for our vacation bookings because of this very bad customer orientation. Its really bad if you drive after e long flight very tired in another countrry and the hotel has no room for you even you paid for it and Expedia service hotline says thats not their problem....

Nice hotel, friendly staff

On the beach, beautiful views, great staff, central location a car a must, easy access to North and South shore. Only weird thing. Our room was “upgraded” for being an Expedia customer. The room and view were lovely and clearly an upgrade from what we booked which we weren’t expecting during a busy holiday week with one issue - the room had no ”normal” bed. We had the option of a Murphy bed Full size or the couch pullout bed. We were cousins traveling together so one of us drew the short straw for the pullout which had a metal bar running across it. We found this set up strange.

Pros: The pool and lobby were very cool looking.
Good experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room clean and nice. Location close to airport but away for the city.

Excellent place; good for handicapped person.

Pros: Bed, walkable grounds by the sea.
Cons: Restaurant hours are a bit limiting, but not bad.
Location: Need a rental car to get around. Not a problem. Close to airport, but not noisy.
Bed was excellent; room was spacious and well designed. Premises are walkable, even for a handicapped person. Staff were nice, pleasant and accommodating. Valet was prompt with car service. Overall, and excellent place.
