Hotel Great! Transportation services, super poor!

The hotel room portion was excellent but I was left with a bad impression from the hotel transportation. I requested a transport to the airport with a short stop at a local market for souvenirs. Total travel time was 3 hrs, once at the airport, they wanted to charge me US$170!! I was very upset once I was told of the outrageous fare, I travel often to all parts of LATAM and have never once been charged this amount even with a full day of booking. I rely heavily on the additional services provided by the hotel, such as transportation so for me this is a deal breaker. Hotel was great but the transportation services broke the deal. Doubt that I will be staying there on my next visit.

Swissôtel Lima partners with a transportation company as matter of security; as you have probably noticed in your travels within Latin America, taxi regulations vary greatly from country to country; as do requirements for insurance and safety features. In order to ensure the safety of our guests, this company provides the necessary guarantees, such as liability insurance which would cover any medical costs (a definite must when travelling abroad), plus the added security features that a high end vehicle is sure to provide. Transportation rates are posted at the hotel's main entrance, I am sorry if you missed them before hopping on to the cab. In regards to the rate you were asked to pay, I would be more than happy to follow up on this, as it is important that all of our guests feel that they have been justly charged. Wonderful hotel!

Pros: The comfortable, clean and beautiful hotel and room. The friendly, kind and helpful staff.
Cons: If the breakfast buffet time could be extended (to perhaps 11am).
Location: It was only a 15 minute Uber ride to Miraflores and other areas we went to. We also had several tours/excursions and our hotel was easily accessible.
The hotel was beautiful, including the lobby and our room. The staff was extremely welcoming, accommodating and friendly! We were exhausted from our redeye flight, but Jacqueline was able to help us with checking-in much earlier. She and other front desk staff were always friendly and very helpful. Victor was also extremely kind and helpful with finding our Uber rides and with our bags. The breakfast buffet was also delicious with a variety of options. Our room was very comfortable, clean and the bathroom was extremely spacious. We were extremely pleased with our stay at Swissôtel Lima! :)

The hotel is way too far from the airport and all worthwhile commodities, such an inconvenience finds no recompense in the initial welcome committee from the glorified receptionists who forget their place and take their time to see you worthy of attaining a key to their kingdom. I will say this, three persons I came across during my stay at the Swissotel made my stay memorable and positive. Ms Luz from housekeeping who selflessly went out of her way to ensure that I was safe and medically ok, and David and Wendy from Le Cafe...exceptional service

Nice hotel with excellent location and great staff

Cons: wifi
Location: My trip was all business so didnt have time to do anything for leisusre
It was a great experience, the service was impeccable and its location is great for business, I was very welcomed and will go back soon

Avoid going to this Hotel

I have stayed in mist of the 5* hotels in Lima and I can say please avoid Swiss Hotel for the reasons below. Firstly reception kept us waiting fro 45min until they gave us our room. We where woken up by concierge who dialled the wrong number at 7:30am. Finally my partner took the hotel iPhone charge by mistake and they where charging us $350 for it. Staff weren't that friendly and hotels looks tired.

Unfortunately, without having more information about you, I am unable to comment on your particular experience. I can say that there are times when, if a guest arrives prior to our guaranteed check-in time, our Housekeeping team may not have finished cleaning all rooms and a small delay might occur. In regards to the iPhone charger, we are more than happy to lend chargers out to our guests. Having said that, we expect them back so we can help future guests, so if anyone unwillingly takes a charger, we place a S/.225 soles charge to replace it and inform them of it -in case they are able to return it to us-. I am sorry if your stay at our hotel did not meet your expectations; we would like to see you again and have an opportunity to mend your perception of our hotel. Sincerely; Director of Operations.
