We had an amazing stay. We were there for two weeks and felt right at home. The owners and staff are so nice. We commented over and over that these were the nicest people we had ever met. They gave us great recommendations and really cared that we enjoyed our stay with them. We couldn’t recommend the Hotel Zuid highly enough!

The hotel looks new and very well decorated. but the room was quite dirty and full of mosquitos (even with the widows closed the whole day)

Hotel is really nice for price and restaurant has fantastic food for dinner. Hotel room had a musty smell to it but rooms were nice other than that.

Comfortable and pleasant
Travelled for football for one night, was difficult to find somewhere to stay, but this was well enough Positioned for Genk. Did not see too much of the room, but was comfortable and friendly, no issues.

On the plus side first appearance the hotel as very nice, the decor was very rustic but pleasing, the staff polite. On the down side the finer points of cleaning / hygiene coffee cups with dirty water in the bottom where they were not dried after washing, hair on the bathroom walls. Tea/coffee making facility down to just a small coffee machine with one type of brand very strong caffeinated. On the whole not to bad

Good and bad points read review
First impression very good booked a superior room which had every comfort loved the rainfall shower kitchen and sofa in the room which appeared clean however during the night my husband had to use the bathroom and stepped on a piece of broken glass which resulted in a deep cut obviously missed by the cleaning team In the morning I had to extract a piece of glass with tweezers from him foot and we were staying in Belgium until Monday so it had a huge impact on our business trip I mentioned on check out that this had happened to justify the blood on the sheets and the reply was we will get the cleaning team to check Ruined our trip and no satisfactory response

Boy's weekend away.
We stayed two nights for a trip to the Spa F1 GP. For a budget hotel the rooms are basic, a bit dated but OK. The hotels restaurant was closed for staff holiday when we were there, which we felt was odd. how ever we used restaurants in the city centre(9 Euro each way by taxi), which were very good. However the hotel breakfast was good.

Seld-catering in Genk, for Bokrijk Farm museum
The room was quiet, bright and airy on the ground floor. Comfortable beds. The hotel restaurant (Italian) looked good, but we did not try it. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. It would have been good to have had a Genk town map, showing nearby supermarkets, the central shopping precinct(s), and other features of Genk, which seems to be a totally modern, recently built, town-development. The breakfast was excellent, including cook-your-own pancakes. HOWEVER, booking online, we thought the excellent budget price for accommodation INCLUDED BREAKFAST. We should have asked. We were not told otherwise. The BILL FOR BREAKFAST was a sad surprise!!! The result was an EXPENSIVE good breakfast we could have avoided, and saved money, and eaten less, and more healthily. We would happily stay again, but make sure we were not going to be surprised by a breakfast that was an EXTRA COST. It was very easy driving to the excellent Bokrijk Outdoor Farm Museum. The only early problem was finding the actual entrance to the Museum, and the right Car Park, and where to buy tickets. Signs were not adequate, but we muddled through this initial difficulty, and had an excellent day. Being able to relax afterwards at Hotel Atlantis made the day-visit to the Museum easy!

Was een mooie kamer met een mooie omgeving. Maar was helaas wel erg gehoorig, vanaf 8 uur konden we de schoonmakers op de gang al horen. En het vocht kon slecht wegkomen bij het raam en op de badkamer Het personeel was wel erg vriendelijk en hulpzaam En er zijn genoeg gratis parkeerplekken

Dit hotel was kraaknet, vriendelijk personeel en een zeer goed ontbijt. Wat wel storend was dat de kamers niet geluidsdicht zijn. Als een andere kamerdeur dicht klapte of er mensen op de gang liepen was dit enorm storend qua geluid.
