Great bargain... if they honor your reservation.

Value Place is by far the least expensive decent extended-stay hotel in Lincoln. There are cheaper places, but they don't have kitchens and often the clientele is pretty sketchy. The biggest problem with VP is you run the risk of not getting the room you reserved and may not get a room at all -- despite having a reservation -- if a guest decides to extend their stay. We have encountered this 6 out of the last 7 times we've stayed there. Four times we had to take rooms with features or amenities different than what we had reserved and twice we even had to find other accommodations on our own, on a football weekend, and ended up an hour away in Omaha. Another big issue is parking... they allow construction teams staying there to park their trucks and trailers in the parking lot which takes up lots of extra spaces and makes it extremely difficult to find a parking spot if you get back to the hotel late in the evening. I think all my other comments would be positive... it is a clean hotel is very well maintained, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the location is close to I-80 access. But the risk of them not honoring my confirmed reservation has me wondering if I want to take that chance again.

Thank you for taking time to provide specific feedback on our hotel.
I regret we have not had the room type you reserved upon arrival. And you are correct, as an extended stay hotel we do run into situations, especially when are at capacity, that guests extend their stay which in turn causes room types to be unavailable. We should be proactive and calling you in advance to offer an alternative room type or assist in finding you other accommodations at another property. I regret if this has been not happened. We are addressing this issue and the parking with our team.
Our team strives to serve our guests and provide them with an all-around positive experience. We look forward to welcoming you back the next time you are in the area.
