Lovely hotel by golf course with woods to strollPosted Dec 21, 2015
Pros: Staff very attentive. Pleasant atmosphere. The hotel is close to woodland with some pretty walks on a hillside overlooking the town of Grantham.
Location: Grantham and Belton House. Nice garden centre next door with a nice restaurant/cafe.
Always a positive experience. Staff very keen to please. Lovely food. We ate in the 'claret jug' bar for a change as the main restaurant was hosting office parties and we wanted somewhere quieter. Food was simpler and cheaper than the main restaurant but just as carefully prepared.

Cons: Getting ready for a 're fit
Location: Many great walks . Belton House ( National Trust property), Golf, Spa , Segway., Horse Riding
Just wanted a chill out 48 hours. My wife and I both work long stressful hours for the NHS , and we grab US time when we can. This worked out great for our needs.....

RelaxPosted Oct 21, 2015 on Hotels
We arrived at the hotel quite late but the booking in procedure was quick and painless. Receptionist, Beth, was very pleasant. We were given our key and began the long walk down the corridors to our room. We were expecting to be so far away as we had asked for a quiet room away from slamming doors and lifts. Room was a very good size and the bed was very comfortable. We had a standard room so our view was over the car park. Décor was old and could do with a spruce up. The bath had mould on the edge which could have easily been solved by replacing the sealant. A few screws were loose on the door handle too. Breakfast was included and there was plenty to choose from. Only question, why were their so many children's cereals when this is a mainly golfing hotel. only saw 2 children. I asked for bran but there wasn't any. Croissants were tiny but nice and fresh. The server (mature English lady) was very accommodating. Mid morning we asked for some more milk as we had used what was in our room, the receptionist, not Beth, said someone would bring some to the room. It never arrived. We did use the pool which was very warm, the Jacuzzi and the sauna and steam room, this was very hot. We also had a spa treatment booked, this was excellent. Relaxation area could have been quieter as you could hear people chatting whilst we had our massage. I cannot comment on the bar and restaurant, or the prices, as we didn't use either. We would recommend the hotel and we would return

Comfortable rooms but felt a little tired.Posted Oct 14, 2015 on Hotels
Room was comfortable but sheets did not fit the bed fully. Reception very welcoming but rooms could do with a spruce up. No fridge which would be useful for keeping milk fresh for toddler. Great swimming pool, especially for toddlers and friendly staff.

5 nights Belton Woods HotelPosted Oct 10, 2015 on Hotels
Hotel tired, needs freshening up. Restaurant extremely noisy on Saturday evenings/Sunday mornings filled with groups of very very loud males. Spoilt our dining experience altogether, couldn't hear what the waitresses were saying!
