Since I was in Lincoln to do research at the Lincolnshire Records office, this was a perfect location. I only wish that I had asked for a room with a few of the river instead of the parking lot. The hotel was still close enough to the hill with the castle and cathedral to walk and sightsee.

Hotel in great spot, with lovely view. Standard rooms need a little refresh to brighten them up but food , drinks and cleanliness absolutely no issues. I would say better tea and coffee options in room… quite poor by today’s standards with very limited options …

Great position and quiet location despite being central. Staff not very friendly and hotel has a bit of a tired feeling - basic electric heaters in our room, no heated towel rail and fan in bathroom did not work. Broken and fallen down barriers at front of property and could not see what work was going on. Outside of the building needed a good sweep

Staff were friendly, however the room let it down. There was dust on every surface and spiderwebs hanging from the ceiling. I had to make my pillow myself as they'd just been thrown in. The room was also a bit dated. Definitely not what I'd expect for the price.

Great location everything was within walking distance with plenty of great places to eat. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay however the cleaners need to pay more attention especially in the bathroom.

So the beds and the rooms were comfy and clean. However maybe it was just us but the emergency light was so bright, not just a little bit, like closing your eyes for a nap during the day in Greece bright. Cannot help drunk people next to you, but the walls and the lady in the morning barely acknowledged us when we're trying to check out. Right next to the river and shops so perfect location.

Nice position, friendly staff. Happy to see the dog. Only downside was poor supply of toilet roll. Two largely used rolls in the bathroom. There should have been at leadt on unused roll provided.

Hotel and staff were very good. However when local clubs and pubs closed there was a lot of screaming and shouting going on. I was awoken by this several times during the night. The last time at 0340 hrs. Oh too be young again!

The room was nice and the staff at breakfast were courteous and helped make up for the front of door staff who were unhelpful and quite miserable. They preferred to watch us struggle with a wheelchair than open the door. But beware if you book pay later at the hotel they then charge more on the day. This is something I have never experienced before.

Fabulous stay over the Christmas holiday! The newly renovated lobby and rooms were wonderful, as well as the interactions with staff and the effort put in (like a nice box of chocolates and a hand written card wishing us a happy holiday). Having stayed at a number of highly rated properties in Lincoln, this is my new favorite! Well done to the staff.

Nice hotel especially for the price

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. The room we got was spacious and clean. I absolutely loved the bathroom. The shower was amazing! The only downside my partner had was he didn't like the pillows. I feel like hotel pillows are not the greatest across the board, but my opinion versus his. The view we had of Brayford Wharf from our room was amazing.They had a great breakfast selection. Overall, it was an amazing hotel and will stay here again in the future!
