Beautiful location and building but too thin walls

Beautiful hotel in a very nice area. Friendly staff! However the walls are way too thin, you can hear every noise from the neighbours. The doors are very bangy

A bit Disapointed

Posted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels
Very polite and helpful staff but very small room and dated bathroom with plumbing issues! Also Breakfast was a very costly extra which is far more expensive than I'd pay in London. Overall I would have expected better at their price point I'm afraid.

An excellent place to relax in.

Pros: Quality of service
Cons: Poor shower
Location: Quiet village location
One of the best hotels my wife and I have stayed in. This was a comfortable hotel and the food was excellent. A double room with breakfast cost us around £100 a night. The surroundings are more geared to couples than young families. The staff were unfailingly helpful and there was good parking on site. Only one negative - the shower hardly worked at all. We intend to stay there again as opportunity allows..

Washingborough Hall Hotel

Posted Mar 29, 2012 on Hotels
This attractive old hall is not so out in the sticks as you might imagine, being surrounded, by pleasant houses and a not so pleasant cemetery! It has interior charm with large entrance/foyer, grand staircase and comfortable bar, high ceilings and all the other things you'd expect from an older property in good upkeep. Unfortunately the size of the room was something of a let down as furniture had to be rearranged to get into the wardrobe and two people in the bathroom at the same time was impossible. However, a very comfy bed and some nice home made biscuits. Probably wouldn't stay again unless I was prepared to pay more for one of the larger rooms and that then becomes quite a costly stopover.
