"This was an amazing place. The house was fantastic. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, campfires at night, and close approximation to everything we wanted. We were able to go see our son at App State for the day and enjoy wine at Linville winery. Our younger kids loved going gem mining and the outdoor roller coaster, which was only a short drive. We will definitely be returning. "

"A few really great things - this cabin was in a great location, very close to Boone and the Parkway. We saw a few deer at the cabin. The AC works great. Mattress was very comfortable. Cabin was decorated nicely. A few things that needed attention. The hot tub had a good bit of dirt in it and the owner said that would be remedied, but it was not. "The house is beautiful. The driveway is a little tricky. We took the grandkids (age 9 & 10) to Tweetsie Railroad. They had a blast. One of the grandkids has Cerebral Palsy. The child is able to walk but gives out faster than other kids. We left Tweetsie and went back to the cabin. We ate and headed out to the hot tub. "Home is great. A bit of a challenge to reach due to part of the Blue Ridge Parkway being closed due to Helene. Went with the notion of being a wedding anniversary and near a dark sky site. Excellent in terms of privacy and relative darkness. Spouse is 5'2" and had a lot of trouble entering and exiting the hot tub. The mini split ACs are very effective, although it was challenging to understand they all have to be set to AC or heat to work. I'm technically inclined, so this did not pose an issue...
