Our recent experience at 9Hotel Mercy was far from what we expected, especially given that we booked their biggest suite. Our disappointment began when we arrived at 3 pm, only to be told that our room, the spacious 601, wasn’t ready yet. The explanation was puzzling - supposedly, the largest room took the longest to clean. One would assume that such an expensive suite should be a top priority for cleanliness.
To compensate for the delay, the hotel left a bottle of Moscato in our room, but our excitement was quickly dampened when we discovered a silver bug (likely a Silverfish) inside the ice bucket. This put us off from enjoying the wine.
Upon entering our room, we conducted a cleanliness check, revealing makeup stains on one of the pillows. It seemed like the room had been hastily remade rather than thoroughly cleaned.
Our disappointment escalated when we attempted to use the shower, only to find that it didn’t drain properly. The hotel promptly sent someone to address the issue, but it worsened after our return. The bathtub’s hot water pressure was abysmally low, taking an agonizing 20-25 minutes to fill. The beautiful balcony, offering a stunning city view, was marred by a balcony door that came off its hinges when opened.
