It is a beautiful, old art deco building which is both a blessing and a curse. It’s just too sedate. The rooms are large but the bathrooms are dated. Most problematic is the rooms are not set up for the 21st century where all travelers have electronic devices. There were no accessible outlets or USB ports at the bedside tables or anywhere near the bed. The location is OK along the Avenida Liberdade, especially if you want to go shopping in some of the high end, Fifth-Ave type shops, but not really walking distance to Rossio Square or any of the sites that you would want to see. The staff is obviously well trained, and the reception at 5 PM for a coffee, port and pastries is very nice but I would not return.
