had to move after first night due to unavailability of bathtub rubber mat for my 84 yr old uncle and unpleasant smell in one of our room, Room 330 Otherwise hotel was ok and conveniently located with a very good staff including GM Jorge who handled situation like a pro

This hotel very much in need of some updates. Small suiting area off lobby with couches that are completely worn out. Upon sitting in them you sink neatly too the floor. Beds are uncomfortable and pillows old and no flexibility. The parking garage under hotel. To get down with your car is treacherous, to say the least. The curves are SO TIGHT!! ( I’m from NYC I know tight space) we thought we were going to get stuck! Staff at desk not super friendly. Breakfast though was ample, plenty for any type of diet. Shower hot and water pressure great. Overall ok, but needs some upgrades.

Overall the hotel was good. Though not quite up to the standard of 5 star rating. Still like a 3 star hotel to me. Plus side, room was clean and the bathroom was nice. Breakfast had some inconsistencies but overall good. The biggest downside was the room temperature control. It got too warm and a bit sweaty and had to open the window for cool air. We mentioned it but I don't think they did not actively did anything as no one got back to us. Oh also, I really cannot believe we had to pay for coffee in the room. Tea was free but no milk available unless you paid for it.

I hate to write a review like this, but it is deserved. This is a FIVE star hotel in a great location. The hotel itself is nice, modern, and desrving of its 5-star status from a physical point of view. However, every single employee (with the exception of one young lady in the evening) is absolutely cold and unwelcoming. They made you feel like you were bothering them simply by checking in. This is not a cultural issue as we were in Lisbon the week prior, stayed at a 4-star hotel, and the staf was an absolute delight. This place is absolutely unbelievable, almost as if the manager was trying to sabotage the hotel with surly staff. If a nice property is in your vision, this place will work, if you want to be welcomed as a guest and be treated with respect, go elsewhere.

Beautiful hotel
I had the most wonderful stay at the Real Hotel Palácio from the very beginning to the end of my stay. I arrived early, and the room I booked wasn’t ready. They were kind enough to upgrade me to a nicer room that was ready so I could check in sooner. The breakfast every morning was delicious. The staff was great and accommodating. The food in both restaurants was delicious. I would absolutely stay there again and recommend anyone else to stay there.

Definitely not a five-star hotel, small room, extremely dated, old worn out furniture with stains, wallpaper peeling, old wood floors scratched to death, bathtub with nasty shower curtain, soap dispenser unglued from wall, old, nasty window curtain not sufficient to cover and keep out light, small TV. More like a three star hotel.

Great hotel. The location is perfect. Easy to commute through metro. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good room service. It is all clean and safe. I enjoyed my view from balcony. I would love to visit Lisbon again and surely use that to stay.

As a VIP gold member and a returning client to Real Palacio Hotel, I was very disappointed that my room upgrade was not given to me since on Expedia app there was every day until my checkout 8 executive rooms and one suite available for sale The receptionist said no upgrades available, very disappointing as a repeat customer to real Palacio and long time gold member with Expedia Also room was not available before waiting 50 minutes for maid to clean room , I had to go remind the receptionist if was cleaned after her telling me at check-in that it wound not be long for room to be cleaned . Breakfast staff were excellent especially Rita with red hair , the team leader at the breakfast desk, and the breakfast manager.

This is NOT a 5 star hotel, far from it. In best case scenario this is probably 3 stars. First, the front desk is unpleasant and not helpful at all , they’re not customer service oriented. Some of the front desk staff are outright rude! In general, the other hotel staff were unfriendly either. Second, the facilities are outdated, rooms are not updated and lacked toiletries , towels and even electrical outlets! The WiFi network is very poor. Third, the location isn’t that good either, far from the city center and there’re basically no stores or restaurants nearby. The only decent thing this hotel has is the breakfast buffet and that’s it. Save yourself a headache and stay somewhere else. This hotel is not it.

The breakfast is good. The staff were okay some are very friendly and some are not. But the most was the wifi doesn't reach the rooms. I have to go down the lobby to get good internet access. To be fair the hotel is really nice it gave me an old portugues style hotel which i really love.

This property is rated 5 sters but it's standards are more like 3. The restaurant staff was really unprofessional. The restaurant had a private party and really loud music kept us awake until 3 AM. Not recommending or coming back.

Lovely Lisbon stay
We loved our stay at Hotel Real Palacio. The breakfast was phenomenal and we loved having a balcony that overlooked the street. The neighborhood was safe, but you will need to Uber to most places. The furniture could use some updating, but overall we were very happy with our stay.

Beautiful room in the "old" part of the palace- stylish and luxurious. Palace art and details were appreciated and the view from my room was 4 corners! Location is slightly off the beaten track but in the center so I really got my bearings here. I fell in love with Lisbon because of these first nights here and re-booked 2x during my trip. Breakfast is a must and super good, the sports bar surprisingly cool and the restaurant great for a hotel. Staff were helpful, friendly, positive and kind. I will be back.
