I was charged in advance 15 euros per night for linen (60 euros total). for the sofa bed in the apartment. There was only 2 of us in the apartment. When we arrived there was no linen on the sofa bed and after 7 calls they finally brought the linen 5 hours later and after 10 pm. The apartment has no heat and was freezing cold. Every time I turned on the portable heater all the power went out. It was also very noisy. However, the next day Thankfully they moved us to an apartment inside the building that was large and nice and had heat in the 1st bedroom. Rest of the apartment including the second bedroom was very cold.

Classically Europeon apartment
Overall, the accommodations were great. We weren't quite expecting to have no host on the premises. It is an Apartment bldg with no elevator, we were on the 2nd floor which made hauling our numerous suitcases a bit of a challenge... especially because we were tired. Mostly clean and a strange layout but typical of what can be expected in a centuries old building. Loved the narrow streets and two balconies as well as two little outdoor patios in the middle of the apt. The Portugese people are warm and very friendly. Overall, I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

The system is great Book & receive a code via email before arrival. But this time i stayed in a ground floor apartment and everyone who came through the main door sounded like they were in the room with me. Quite the surprise when i woke up.

Nice basic apt in Barro Ailto
The apt was clean, basi amenities with a very comfortably firm mattress. No overhead lighting so seemed a little dark when shuttered windows were closed. Excellent variety of restaurants and bakeries nearby. Wear comfortable shoes as considerable uphilll walking on cobblestone streets. Trolley and bus transport nearby

Pleasant apartment clean and comfortable
when we arrived at apartment the outside was appalling and the door looked dirty and shabby and in need of a lick of paint. it really lets the area and the accomoadtion down. we did not meet any reception staff only cleaning lady who was very friendly and helpful and answered any questions we had. we could not fault the apartment it was very spacious clean and comfortable. on the downside a lot of noise from street during the night and also a rooster who was up at first light we didnt need to set our alarms for an early start. also there was a very steep hill to get to apartment and with an elderly lady travelling with us this was a disaster so much so that we had to book her into a hotel in the centre of Lisbon. its roughly 10 minutes walk up an unbelivebly steep hill to local metro but we discovered on our last day that if we stayed walking another 5 minutes from metro station we would have arrived at main centre of city so save yourselves a metro ride (taking 1 flight of stairs and 4 escalators to get down to metro platform) all in all I wouild recommend apartment although I think picutres on website are definitely not akin to the acutal accomodation. Note to owners: put up realistic picutres and Please Please paint the front door (Apartment 17A)

No hot water no Wi-Fi bad management..dont stay
Awful experience in a gorgeous city, I a really will contact expedia and formally complain and suggest they cut off their partnership. The management are yet to take responsibility as we had no hot water for 3 days and no Wi-Fi as promised. If I knew this I would have stayed at a reputable hotel. On day 3 as we check our maintenance staff show up 10 minutes before the check out and 30 min before check out the cleaning lady shows up obviously unable to do anything. They lied on Saturday saying someone would come and no one did. Also said we could shower elsewhere and surprise no one came. They are now trying to blame us for playing with the water heater even tjough the cleaning lafy admitted neither worked the last time she cleaned. Awful place...awful people..poor management..dont stay here!!! Go to a hotel or air bnb.

You are fulled by the pics giving the impression that the place is cosy, while it's really dark. There was no natural light in bedroom (two tiny frosted windows), so you had to have light on all day. Also because the apartment is located on ground floor and you can't leave window open all day and it smells like in the cellar.Another disappointment was luck of small terrace or balcony. Overall was ok, you can get used to it. Location is great. Bathroom and kitchen were in good working order and nice equipped.
