Pros: Cleanliness and location .
very happy with the stay at this hotel. easy short walk to the beach and train station. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed, and good breakfast. I would have stay there more often but they seem to often get fully booked.

small, family-run hotel in traditional villa

Posted Sep 19, 2016
We stayed for nearly two weeks in early September and had an excellent experience from check-in on day one to the private taxi they organised for us on departure. Every aspect of the hotel is supervised by the family from the immaculately manicured gardens and crystal clear pool to the clean rooms and fresh breakfasts. The location is in a quiet area of similar villas but only ten minutes walk from the beach, railway station, beachside restaurants and the start of the promenade to Cascais. The only downside is that the poolside area is only large enough to accommodate tables and chairs rather than sunbeds but at least there were always enough of these for everyone. The room facilities such as the air-con and shower were excellent and better than many 3 star and some 4 star places we've stayed. It's a traditional mansion/villa sympathetically converted to retain features such as portico, balconies, high ceilings, marble floors and staircase, shutters and half-tiled walls whilst having facilities such as lift, coded keys, good en-suites, room safe etc etc.

Nice, clean hotel a few minutes from the beach

Posted Jul 21, 2016
Family run hotel. Rooms are to a good standard with AC. Our room had a beautiful new monsoon shower. Extremely clean rooms. Breakfast included tea/coffee, rolls, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, jams and fruit. Not far from the beaches and promenade and you can walk to the train station. Although if you have heavy bags I would recommend a taxi. Downsides: the hotel locks its doors at 2am. I'm not sure that you can call yourself a hotel if you place a curfew on guests. Bearing in mind Lisbon is a late night city and you can take the train to Estoril this is a bummer. Also the hotel staff are pretty glum, stern and grumpy at times. Don't really go out of their way to say hello. Overall a clean, well located, good value hotel. Not for the night owls though.

Nice hotel next to Potugese Riviera

Posted Jun 14, 2016
Pros: The location.
Cons: I thought overall the hotel was very good. Enjoyed my stay a nd the hotel is a great value.
Location: The waterfront is close by and a person can walk to Calais. Metro service takes you to many historical sites in Belem and Lisbon.
Stayed at hotel for 6 nights. It was a very good experience as the hotel is in a great location, close to waterfront as well as metro rail service. Metro service very easy to use. Great value and I would highly recommend.

Clean but slow coffee

Posted Oct 8, 2015
Beautiful family run hotel, immaculately clean, very comfortable bed. As older traditional construction not very sound proof. Only snag takes long long time to get coffee for breakfast, need a second machine. Two lovely local coffee shops on way to nearest beach.

Not kids friendly at all , only for retirees ,old people Also the hotel shut down at 2 Am no access at all Parking very small and you have to wait for 10 to 15 mins to somebody open the garage for you . Don't bring a big car if you decide to stay there or don't rent a big car

Charming Hotel - Traditional Portuguese features

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: Near the beach (5 minutes) and nice local bars and restaurants. Railway station 10 minutes. Lovely decor and gardens with inviting pool.
2 star official rating but exceeds this in all areas. Clean, modern with lovely well kept grounds and pool. Breakfast is pretty good. The hotel is quiet, relaxing and a little subdued.
