Very beautiful hotel great service

The hotel is wonderful. Keep in mind it is a 4 minute cab ride to city center of Lisbon, or a 10-15 minute walk.

Intercontinental Lisbon - A great stay.

Posted Aug 8, 2017
Pros: Attention to details and attentiveness of staff.
Cons: The WIFI strength as you go to higher floors, decreases, this is relatively simple to improve.
Location: Great location easy walking distance for sight-seeing and shopping.
I have travelled a great deal and have stayed in many hotels, so when I travel with my family I want the best for them. The whole experience from checking in, to service at various levels to room cleanliness was great. The breakfast & service was excellent both in terms of selection and choice from fresh fruit to cooked bleakest and pastry, bread etc. As well as the staff. Overall, what made the stay enjoyable were the staff, from Daniel (great suggestion in terms of where to go for site seeing etc.), to Carlos (Breakfast) and many others. Thank you.

Lovely hotel, well-placed to explore Lisbon

Posted Jul 29, 2017
Visited Lisbon for a 4 night family break in late July 2017. Stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel and were not disappointed by the customer service we received. Check-in was slightly delayed as our room was not quite ready for us at 4pm so we waited in the lobby bar area and were given a complimentary drink whilst we waited. Our room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom and plenty of storage space for our clothes, etc. The hotel is a short drive away from the airport (10-15 minutes, taxi should cost you kmow more that 15 Euros), an 8-10 minute walk away from the metro station (downhill on the way, steep climb back up to the hotel), across the road from a lovely park (with play area for children, a café that serves toasted sandwiches/pizzas/salads and is extremely picturesque) and is also within walking distance of the sea (about 35 - 40 minutes). There is a nice fitness room which is open 24 hours and has treadmills, a crosstrainer/elliptical trainer, an exercise bike and some strength training machines/free weights. Breakfast was nice. The only downside is the lacknof consideration for vegetarians - hash browns were placed in the same serving container as the turkey sausages and warm food options for vegetarians were quite limited - otherwise the choice at breakfast was plentiful. The Concierge was very helpful in helping us to plan our itinerary for our short trip. Overall a nice hotel, good location.

nice hotel pity about the beds

Posted Jul 8, 2017
Pros: everything really , the air conditioning worked well and better than most hotels.
Cons: They should get rid of the extra beds which are not nice to sleep on.
Location: Good location if you are physically fit as it is a good walk to town , and not recommended to walk back due to the hilly terrain.
Overall a very nice hotel which was well run and looked after their guests very professionally. My one and only complaint was on arrival at our room I was surprised to only have 2 single beds in the room booked for 3 people , myself and my 17 year old kids. They did get an extra bed into the room , but this bed was so uncomfortable that we had to swap beds to share out the uncomfortable bed. When customers book a room for 3 people they expect 3 proper beds or at least 2 double beds. Apart from the bed situation I feel that this hotel is one of the best I have stayed in.

Location is very good

Staff helpful, rates a bit high but ok for a high end experience--not a cheap one. You get what you pay for.
