Great location for walking to see the old town of Lisbon. There are many cafes and restaurants- Sacramento was recommended by staff and it was delicious- reservations suggested but we went early and managed to get a table for 2. The hotel has a lot of character and not your typical chain type hotel. The entrance/lobby is very tiny. They will do luggage hold for you if you arrive early before check in. The elevator - very old school with doors you pull shut is VERY tiny. If you have more than a carry on size bag it may not hold 2 people. The stairs are fine and dark at first but lights go on as you approach. Our room #24 was ok. The bathroom has a clear door, but it’s down a hallway. We didn’t have any shower amenities like soap/shampoo - not sure if it was forgotten or that’s the way it is, we were too tired to ask about it and had our own, but if you’re counting on it you may want to confirm. Although advertised as a B&B, there is no breakfast, but many places a few steps away.

No staff are onsite overnight and someone got trapped in the elevator at 2:30am. The whole hotel was awake for over an hour with all the noise. The fire dept eventually came but by then other guests got him out. The hotel is on a loud and bright-all-night corner and they charge for everything. I recommend booking elsewhere.

The room was next to a noisy lift. The heating was set to 37C. The water from the shower was rusty brown making the shower unusable.

Good location
We enjoyed a comfortable bed, but the bathroom was a challenge. Slow draining sink, glass door and mirrors. Everything looked very clean except for a lone cockroach, but he was clean as well and was released outside. An elevator is present which is nice, but it is tiny and slow. We were upgraded to a better room which we appreciate and overall staff members were friendly. We stayed for 2 nights and it was a good location for our needs.

Property staff during check in was very unprofessional. Although Expedia showed that our stay was already paid, staff didn’t put any effort in handling the situation. Front desk attendant blatantly refused to listen to get to the bottom of the miscue. They insisted we called Expedia ourselves. Front desk was rude and unprofessional. Elevators are tiny, old and scary. No cart or help is available for those with lot of luggages. Room was musty and has a smell of mold. My wife and I woke up several times with dry throat and lips. Air quality was so bad my toddler son left the hotel with sore throat and cold symptoms. We spent two weeks across Portugal in several hotel/ suites and by far the worst stay. Will not return or recommend this place.

Dear guest, you in fact did not pay to Expedia and insisted on checking in without paying. Also, front desk allowed you to stay with us further than check out hours so you would be more comfortable. Despite being rude to our colleague at check in, while she tried to explain that in fact you had not paid before arrival. Also, and to make you even more comfortable, our colleague accepted the check in with a baby EVEN with the reservation only for 2 adults and the hotel not being suitable or equiped to do so. As you can check on the policies of the reservation.We apologize for anything that might not have been to your standards. Cleaningness and properly welcoming the guests are 2 of our most important goals. Have a nice day.

The property had lots of character in the decor of the rooms and elevator. It was in the perfect location to walk to lots of shopping, dining, and nightlife. The front door never stayed locked as it had to be pulled tight and guests popping in and out never followed the sign. However the area overall felt safe.

The room smelt and had visible mould, the air conditioner was full of fungi and mildew. We found a few silverfish and small brown cockroaches in the room. We had to sleep with the air conditioner off and as a result opened the windows where we were eaten alive by mosquitos. On top of this concierge person was not helpful and the reception area was more like a security booth not a 4 star hotel. Not worth the money we payed for the room these should be max 70 euro/night no more or you will feel ripped off

This was the nicest place we’ve stayed in Portugal so far! They kindly upgraded us to a beautiful top floor suite as well! Very friendly staff and great location. We’d 100% stay there again!

Great stay.
Great hotel. Service is limited but check in was easy and the staff I saw was friendly. Location is prime and close to delicious restaurants. Metro station is a few blocks away too

A very unique property centrally located. Funky rooms with slightly inefficient room shapes, small bathrooms, but interesting artistic flourishes. Old elevator clunks up and down, the front desk person is literally not very visible, but we felt safe. Cleaners came but one day we had ripped towels and the other day we had a robe instead of a bath towel.

I had a wonderful time here. The rooms were very nice and clean. Very easy walk to nightlife in Bairro Alto. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I would definitely come back again next time in Lisbon.

Very nice room, the female staff were excellent, thank you Angela and Sandra. The guys kept their heads down and weren’t that helpful. NO SERVICE IN THE HOTEL, although it says Food And Drink and Room Service. They do NOT have a breakfast room or food. Our mini fridge wasn’t working but replaced quickly. Coffee maker on a very high shelf so I’d you’re under 5’4”… great Location!!!
