After staying here for 5 days we have mixed feelings about this hostel. On the plus side: the location is fantastic, close to everything; the staff is very pleasant and friendly; the front desk is open 24 hours; there is some breakfast; free WiFi; TV in the common room has English channels; toilets are clean and well maintained; the common room is big and has some books and maps; the atmosphere is nice and relaxed; generally speaking we had a great time in Lisbon, not least because this hostel was so conveniently located and because we had our own private room here. On the negative side: the weirdest thing is that the kitchen has no kitchen sink or faucet (!), so washing dishes or getting water requires going to the bathroom. They dedicated one of the 3 bathroom for dish-washing, so that the bathroom sink there is used for dishes and the toilet itself is closed, thankfully. The other 2 bathrooms are used for their direct purpose. The shower rooms were OK for a hostel but not the greatest or the cleanest, 1 of them was clogged regularly, although the other was OK. The breakfast was also merely OK: cheap bread, butter, peanut butter, 2 kinds of jam, apples, bananas, some cheap muffins, tea & coffee, milk. It's free and would definitely keep one from starving, but nothing fancy. The WiFi is free and usually adequate but stops working on occasion and/or doesn't reach the farthest rooms. Overall: this hostel is so-so, and I'm sorry to say that we won't stay there again.
