Pilgrimage

Posted Oct 5, 2017
Pros: the funky pink and yellow pigs! & the pleasant staff
Cons: you cannot improve perfection
Location: We was on a pilgrimage so all we was interested in seeing was all the religious activities and once in town any of the important locations was easy to
My Mom and I went to Lisieux on pilgrimage - expedia suggested this hotel to us. Although a little distance out of town - this did not bother us as the staff gave us a bus timetable and directed us to the bus stop. The staff were friendly, approachable and very willing to help. Our hotel room was what I would call funky. We loved the design and layout - it was very comfortable and the beds were sleep enducing! The buffet was great as here was something for everyone there there is no way, and any one could go away hungry. We had an evening meal at the hotel twice and the waiter was very kind in finding a meal I culd eat.

Very good and very comfortable

Posted Oct 1, 2017
Pros: Location, friendly staff, and excellent food
Location: The surrounding Normandy countryside is particularly beautiful, especially if you divert from the main roads
This is a modern style hotel located on the eastern edge of Lisieux close to the main road to Evreux and Paris. The location is very quiet in spite of being close to a main road junction as the rooms mostly are located away from the roads. The young staff appear to work well as a team and have an excellent rapport with the customers. We used the restaurant every night of our stay and the menu was varied each day. We used the bus to go into the town rather than risk the hassle of parking. The fare is only 95 cents. The bus runs until 2015. As well as the town itself, the coast is nearby at Cabourg, Deauville and Trouville. You can get to Rouen by train. Within a few minutes walk there is an immense Leclerc hypermarket which appears to sell virtually everything, but has a particularly extensive choice of wines.

1 night trip

Posted Apr 8, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel is nice but there were many groups and it was quite noisy. Also, no chair outside whereas it would have been great to take a rest next to the swimming pool even if it was closed. I did not have my diner in the hotel but I should I would because it seems to be very good !!!

Pros: Modern and pleasent. The staff were polite and helpful.
Cons: The bathroom was very small
Location: Quite a way from the town centre.
The hotel was excellent but further from the town centre than we expected. The facilities were limited due to ongoing refurbishment.

Charming lobby and cafe, helpful staff, but rooms are pedestrian and not air conditioned.

Tired rooms

Posted Aug 26, 2013 on Hotels
Whilst the communal area of the hotel was inviting and gave a great first impression, our room did not live up to this standard. It was rather tired, somewhat squashed once the sofa bed was pulled out for our two small children and overall seemed rather basic. However nice public areas to sit in, swimming pool was good and nice to have on sight parking. Staff were friendly.
