Pros: Location was good
Cons: Clean room, address deferred maintenance.
Room not cleaned---wall to wall. Furniture terribly marred. Tub faucet broken.

Wouldn't do it again

Rooms smell strongly of smoke. The location is good. The rooms are tired - towels scratchy etc.

Booked last minute due to travel plan changes

Posted Mar 11, 2017
Hotel is in the midst of remodeling. I booked short notice mainly looking for a cheap rate. When I walked into the lobby it smelled like cigarette smoke. I was worried my room would be the same, but it actually smelled fresh. The worst doe in my room did let in a significant amount of cold air, even with the curtains closed so I had to crank up the heat. Overall the place was quiet, which was perfect for work. There's a McDonald's next door if you're not a fan of the breakfast offered. For a place just to crash overnight it was fine. I didn't have time to explore the pool or hot tub.

Nice place. Would like a few more choices for breakfast, something with protein would be great.

You get what you pay for!

Even with all the things that went wrong the first time I stayed here, I went back to give it another try. If you smoke, this is the hotel for you! For the nonsmoker, don't bother. Smoke smell in the hallways and the ash trays are right by the doors, so people are smoking right as you walk in. The rooms are just that, just rooms. The bed was just as hard in this room as the last room. The noise from the train was a bit much since the hotel has just Highway 12 between it and the hotel. There is NO quiet room away from the train. The breakfast is not a real breakfast. Bagel, mini-type, store bought donuts, 2 kinds of cold cereal, orange juice, milk and coffee. Choice of McDonald's or Swan's Cafe on either side of the hotel. It will get you started. Staff OK but the cleaning people like to start early. The parking lot is well lit and plenty of spaces. The back door DOES NOT lock, a bit unsafe in my opinion. Not my idea of the best policy. I am still looking for those rooms in the pictures! Where are they located?

Nothing to brag about.

Upon my arrival, check in went smoothly. My room door lock didn't work however it was fixed promptly. Then, the carpet was all went and the room smelled wet and damp. I told the clerk and he came down AGAIN, and moved me to a different room. The shower was a bit tricky to get on. The bed was very average, it took me a while to get to sleep. Smokers lit up before they even got to the exit door and they like to sit right outside the hotel door. Parking lot was well lit.Breakfast was cereal (2 kinds) coffee, juice, milk, mini donuts, toast and bagels. I went next door to Swam's Cafe for a real breakfast.
