When we do the elevator trim we have to put the elevator out of order so we can have a fan to dry and take the odor out of the elevator. We do have a 30 early check in fee for anyone wanting to check in prior to the 3 pm check in. This is due to people wanting to check in early and we have to move housekeepers around to make sure that thier rooms are cleaned. We have checked and the black out curtians beind the sheers close completely , so we think you were trying to close the colored decortive drapes.
