There were stains on the bed covers, the fixtures were coming off and the refrigerator slid out of its place every time the door was opened.

I am sorry to hear your stay wasn't enjoyable, we here at the Econo Lodge take great pride in ensuring all over guest have the best lodging experience possible and i can see we fell short. I will show my housekeeping department your feedback so they know to pay extra close attention to linens that are stained, and take all the steps required to make sure you don't have experience like this in the future.
