Serves the purpose

Posted Dec 1, 2016
I needed an inexpensive room while driving halfway across the country with my adult son. The room was a great rate and was large enough that we didn't feel cooped up or like we were tripping over each other. The room had some lovely, unique touches that set it apart from typical hotel chains: poster beds, antique looking fixtures in the bathroom. Breakfast could have been better, but it was included with the price. I would stay there again if driving through the area.

Historic Hotel

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Pros: Location was good. Loved the old feel of the hotel.
Cons: Just needs an update overall.
Hotel is listed as the 2nd oldest in Arkansas. It did show that. While the cleanliness of the place was good, there wasn't much else to brag about except it was a great price. The hotel is just old and needs updating which is in process. Beds were very hard and I rarely find a bed that is too hard for sleeping.

A decent hotel that is overpriced

Posted Nov 15, 2016
Checked into legacy hotel and suites on 9th November and stayed for a day. It's an old hotel undergoing renovation. Check in was smooth. Room where I stayed was OK. Nothing special about it. I had a better room when I stayed in Connecticut at almost same price. Wifi was bad, connection was erratic. Complimentary breakfast next morning was OK. Overall a decent place to stay, but can get a better deal for spending a few extra dollars

Dilapidated Dowager

Posted Oct 17, 2016
This once elegant, brass and marble lobbied hotel was recently sold to a small, local group of investors. It must have been quite nice after it was renovated in the last century. The peeling, marked walls, the loose tiles on the balcony, the tub faucets that fell off when you turned them, all point to a once luxurious boutique hotel that was not maintained. The breakfast bar consisted of a styrofoam ice cooler, 2 packages of instant oatmeal and some mini-muffins from the local Kroger. While there was a warming tray with eggs and sausages, it was definitely more soup kitchen than motel 6. The workers in the bare courtyard wielding a jack hammer did stop at a reasonable time Friday afternoon, however, and were not there on Saturday. Because of the neighborhood, I was surprised the entrance doors to the lobby were propped open when I returned at 11:00 pm Saturday evening, especially given the street person asking for handouts in the parking lot. The elevator did not work Saturday night, but was fixed in time to bring my bags down for check out. The bedding seemed clean, though. Whichever single staff person on duty at any time was helpful and polite.

Quiet, right in the middle of downtown.

Posted Sep 7, 2016
Pros: Location, ease of getting in and out. Free breakfast was nice- a good selection of muffins, pastries, fruit, juices, cereal, and coffee.
Cons: They are currently remodeling, which is needed. It's a very old hotel, with lots of history and character. It needs to be brought back to life.
Location: It was a holiday weekend, so there was nothing nearby other than fast food, but finding a place to go wasn't too hard if you knew where to look.
The room was nice, nothing out of place. Queen bed, two end tables, a chair plus ottoman, dresser, large flat-screen tv, microwave, and refrigerator (nice and cold!), and desk (free wifi, password given upon check-in), plus a nicely-sized closet with a full-length mirror. The air conditioning was LOUD, but efficient. The floor of the tub was a bit slick, but a bathmat made it feel much safer. There were no rails other than down in the front of the tub, which would have only been useful for pushing oneself up out of a bath. They were useless for a shower or general safety. Despite all this, I would stay there again, and plan to when I go back.

Nice but OLD

Posted Aug 16, 2016
Cons: Use a queen suite until rooms are remodled if they make them larger. If not, the std room portion of suite was approx. 10 x 10/12
Location: Only weekend, the entire downtown Little Rock is closed. Few restaurants are open.
Do not stay in a std room; get a queen suite. The std rm is so, so small. A suite is little larger. Nice, but just very, very old.
