Overall it was a good experience. The history of the house is fascinating, and has a wide variety of nuances. There are touches in other B&B’s that we’ve stayed in that were more on point though. Things like rose petals in the tub or on the bed, chocolates, or even popcorn for the movie. The perk here was a robe for my bride and I. The shower/steam/spa was a little difficult to figure out and was a bit of a letdown. The bed was a little hard also. Softer pillow top beds seem to be the norm in other places we’ve stayed.
Breakfast was simple and tasty.
The owners & assistants were nice but seemed inconsistent in service. We were waited on well, however I noticed another guest having to get their own refill of juice or coffee from the bar.
Of the places I’ve stayed, this was par for the course. Good for first-timers, to allow for more of an ooh-ahh factor with other B&B’s.
