Hotel more suited to couples

Posted Apr 22, 2014
Hotel imposed swimming times for children. This was not explained when we booked. Hotel was very nice but more suited to a couples break or child free break. Menu etc catered for children but the overall feel was children to be seen and not heard. My children are extremely well behaved and while I appreciate some children may not be, it is the only four/five star hotel where we have been made to feel the children are an inconvenience.

Great hotel for a stylish relaxing weekend treat

Pros: Location. Architecture. Spa. Beach.
Cons: Restaurant menu. Sometimes slow service.
Location: Wonderful.
Beautiful location and architecture. Superb Spa. Wonderful beach nearby. Service pretty good but sometimes slow. Restaurant menu is very 20th Century and should be refreshed with some lighter dishes. Expensive!

Great hotel to relax.

Pros: The breakfast.
Cons: Having to walk outside from the Spa to your room.
Location: In the country not far from beach resorts and places of interest, the main one being Arundel.
Very comfortable hotel and Spa. Located in a lovely quiet area with short walking distance to the beach. The food was excellent, however the dining room when full for the evening meal comes under pressure i.e. when booking a late session certain menus had sold out and the waiting time was very long. There is no bar as such and therefore no draught beer. Meal portions a little on the small side.
