Large spacious manor style house. Welcomed by a really friendly staff member who gave me all the information I would need (WiFi, entrance code etc) she had even wrote it down for me. Room was clean and welcoming with an en suite bathroom. Shower was missing a door and I couldn't get any hot water to run, so I freshened up by having a wash in the basin. Bed was comfortable and there was little noise from the other rooms. Breakfast was served from 7:30 until 10. Loads of variety from continental as well as a cooked breakfast cooked to order. Check out was 11am which is later than some places I've stayed and allowed me to relax after having breakfast before leaving to get my train. Overall it's a really great hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, however, the room was tired looking and need of modernising. The shower produced lukewarm warm water, a quilt cover was used as a bottom sheet. The room was musty/damp smell to it. There was a small rusty fridge in the room with drinks to purchase. Only one sachet of coffee provided in the room. Breakfast was a disaster too, but served with a smile, whilst the crockery was chipped and not the cleanest! Good location for our stay with parking, I'm just sorry it didn't live up to expectations!

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Customers relations
We never stayed at the hotel. We were offered a room three flights of stairs up I could not walk up the stairs. I suffer with angina, and feel the management could have done something for us. We'd lost our money and it spoit our thoughts of the hotel

Positives - central to Southport. Staff were very friendly and helpful and always nearby. Breakfast was standard continental but the breakfast room was hot, they need open a window or patio doors. Negatives - My single bed was so uncomfortable, I could feel every spring and the pillow was as flat as a pancake :( It was very warm in the room so I had the window open but was kept up with traffic noises throughout the night.

Pros: Great price. Comfortable beds.
Cons: Update things a little
Location: Great location for easy walking to park, town and promenade.
Very friendly staff, extremely willing to please. Hotel however could use a makeover. Breakfast was cooked , but basic . Furnishings had seen better days.
