central liverpool hotel

Posted Dec 10, 2016
Pros: Beautiful old building with well situated bedrooms that because of the building you did not hear a single noise at all. Reallly enjoyable visit
Cons: Nothing
Location: Many sights to see in Liverpool
Lovely room, only problem was that special requests had not been attended to i.e. accessible bathroom which reception sorted out when they noticed it. However when we got the room discovered it had one bed and not twin beds as requested. Again brought to attention to staff James on reception and he sorted it for us no problem

Noisy nightclub kept me awake

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Pros: good location
Cons: Noise levels, staff training.
I went to bed approximately 1130pm and the noise from a nearby nightclub had me tossing and turning. I could clearly hear everything the DJ was saying, I phoned the night porter and he told me that it should finish at 0130-2am and he would ask them to turn it down. At 0210 I again complained about the noise and asked the porter to come and hear how loud it was from my room. He did come up and couldn't change my room as the hotel was full but promised to inform the assistant manager in the morning. When I went to check out the receptionist was not remotely interested, did not apologize or offer a refund but told me about noise regulations!! He promised an email today with what I hope will be a full refund but no email has arrived.

beautiful stay

Posted Nov 1, 2016
Pros: our room was located on the top floor so we had no noise issue like many previous customers. The room is fully equipped with the necessary necessities and it was a very comfortable stay. the hotel is located near the docks and we took a pleasant 15 mins walk to albert docks during the night for dinner. overall it was a well worth it hotel.
Cons: the q-park which they suggested is quite a distance especially if you have heavy and big luggage. we parked right in front of the hotel at the roadside (which is free after 6pm) but came down at 8am for the pay & display
Location: walking distance to liverpool one and the docks. there is also a tesco express at the main road towards the docks

Excellent staff - unconcerned management.

Posted Aug 10, 2016
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Management needs to address inoperative facilities. I recommend the management spend a night in each room to see if they are satisfied.
Location: Near all attractions and restaurants.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were adequate but management's lack of concern relative to air conditioning and ventilation when the weather is hot seemed to be at the bottom for guest comfort. It was necessary to use a fan in the room to get sufficient ventilation and a night of sleep. Potential guests should verify room comfort before unpacking.

Dear Faro Thank you for taking the time to review the hotel. I have recently started at Heywood House Hotel. I am glad to hear that the level of service you received from the staff at the hotel was good as we pride ourselves on good customer service. Please accept my apologies for the discomfort encountered during your stay due to the lack of air conditioning. Unfortunately this is an on going issue in the hotel which has been a high priority to resolve and hopefully will be resolved soon. Along with customer service, guest comfort is a high priority at the hotel and I can ensure we are currently doing everything possible to ensure all elements exceed expectations. Kind regards Andrew Ritson General Manager

Hotel in Liverpool city cemtre

Posted Apr 14, 2016
Pros: The receptionist was extremely helpful, and was full of information to help our stay. Room was tidy and clean, everything you would expect.
Cons: Parking could be an issue ,however if you arrive after 6pm ,you can park outside for nothing overnight, till 8am. The hotel give you Q parking discount
Location: Location central and couldn't be any better, hotel brilliant for bars and restaurants. Could be noisy at weekends, but perfect for weekdays.
A very pleasant hotel, staff very helpful and room was spacious and excellent value for money approximately £60 per night. Location is brilliant for Liverpool one shopping as well as close to the Birkenhead tunnel for Cheshire Oaks. Lots of places to eat close buy, would definitely stay again

Fantastic location!

Posted Apr 4, 2016
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It's in a small street and has a very small frontage. Walking through the door into the small but very modern and fashionable lobby to be greeted by a very friendly receptionist was brilliant. She was extremely welcoming and when we asked about the location of certain things (we'd never been to Liverpool before) she drew the best shopping streets on a small map for us, which once again was fantastic service as, even though a small gesture, she was not obliged to do it but did so of her own accord. The room in which I had was relatively small, but extremely clean, tidy and modern all the same! Great shower, very comfortable bed, flat screen TV on the wall, all the necessary features; kettle, free wifi, iron and board, hairdryer, bathroom shampoos and shower gel (and a very friendly looking rubber duck). I honestly think the only things I can fault would be the slightly small room size and the fact that there were only 2 normal flavoured teabags (but if you're a fan of green tea, early grey and all that lark, you won't be disappointed) I had a very pleasant stay!

nice, but...

Posted Feb 12, 2016
Pros: All staff nice and helpful. Bed comfortable.
Cons: Caulking around bathtub turning black in corners. Bathroom fan not working, thermostat very difficult to see and slow to react.
Location: Right in downtown so lots of pubs, restaurants, etc close by.
Old hotel with narrow halls, small 'lift' and rooms. Next door to a pub that was a bit noisy late in the evening. Hall carpet worn and smelly gave poor impression right off, but room relatively clean. Price OK during the week but very high on weekend.
