Lovely hotel but hard to find

Posted May 5, 2015 on Orbitz
We got LOST trying to find this hotel with Google maps as well as another sat nav app. I had to call the hotel from a nearby gas station and get directions from the woman at the lobby desk. Once we were there, the same woman was very welcoming, showed me to our room, etc. The hotel décor was cute, the bar/restaurant were both nicely appointed. My travel companion was tired and went straight to bed. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad from the bar and took it up to the room (they offered to bring it up but I didn't want to disturb my friend) and it was DELICIOUS. We had a room with two twin beds, and they were ok, very creaky, which was a bit odd, but we slept well. We both thought it would be a very cute place to stay for a romantic weekend away.

Visiting with the kids and grandkids!

An absolute gem of a hotel! Apart from being extremely conveniently located for the family, who live in Batley, "just down the road", The HHH is recommended for all the 4 and 5 star reasons given. The people here are all "Yorkshire friendly", right from check-in to check out, and the restaurant food is absolutely amazing; to find such epicurean flavor in a menu with true "style", again accompanied by super-friiendly service, was a real delight! Totally recommended for EVERY occasion, whether personal or business!

A hidden gem in West Yorkshire

Other than repeated difficulties we had finding the hotel upon returning from our daily genealogical research outings in the area, we had the MOST wonderful experience at this hotel. The rooms were well-appointed and clean. The food--both the menu and preparation--was of the highest quality (i.e., what I might expect for a large city restaurant, but found in this small town on the outskirts of Leeds). It was SO good, we ended up eating almost every meal there during our stay! Homemade soups, fresh fish dishes and salads were particularly well done. The staff was universally professional, helpful, warm and gracious. They helped us host a very successful visit by fifth cousins we had never previously met: providing us with coffee, tea and relative privacy in the lovely little conservatory area, followed by lunch for six in the Bistro. Unfortunately, we only had two days to spend in the area during our trip to the UK. We would have loved staying there longer. It was our best accommodations, by far, in the 12-day trip.
