Excellent, definitely return one day.

The staff were so helpful, couldn't do enough for us. The food was out of this world, so tasty and beautifully presented. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean with a huge walk in shower. There was a kettle and a wide variety of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits too. We both slept well. The curtains were blackout so weren't disturbed by the light either.

Room was lovely and a spacious and very clean Evening meal was delicious and breakfast was the same, but too much on the plate Main down side was we had a front room and didn’t sleep most the night due to traffic noise!!

The hotel is beautiful and food good although evening meal better than breakfast which is quite basic. Room was lovely and bed comfortable with a great bath. Restaurant staff were good but bar staff less polite. The most negative part of the experience was a rude demand to settle evening meal bill despite having a tab as a resident.

Pleasant setting, tip top staff

Stairs and more stairs. Wife and I have wonky knees. No warning of no lifts. Car parking half way up a hill--v steep. Even difficult to walk down with luggage. No fun at all and a poor start. Don't know what 'boutique' means but room was OK just 2/5. Double room MUST have two decent chairs to sit down for a pre-drink. The single chair was plastic smart, slippery and not comfortable. Bathroom OK but lavatory again plastic skimpy. Towels etc good. Overall an eye with a bit of 'class' and a few bob would turn the room around from 2/5 to 4/5. staff and food 5/5. would not recommend to US or Euros as good quality Brit.

Great food, lovely hotel and staff were amazing.

This hotel was lovely. Rooms were spacious with a four poster bed. Beautiful en suite. Food was mind blowing. Presentation and taste. Drinks at the bar very well stocked and staff were so helpful. They really couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was perfect.

Great stay

Really nice well run hotel. All staff friendly and attentive. Fantastic evening meal and equally as tremendous breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom modern and clean with a nice hot shower. We were on a motorcycle, so were particularly pleased by the large flat tarmac secure car park at the rear with an entry barrier. They have a cosy bar area too, so you can have a drink before or after dinner, plus some outside courtyard seating if the weather is good. Good local beer on tap. Given the included excellent breakfast it feels like good value too.

Lovely hotel with excellent service

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the hotel and eat there twice with 6 other friends. The service was excellent, from the booking process to the bar service and the waiting on in the restaurant. We had a room at the rear of the hotel which was lovely and quiet. The room was large and clean and we had no complaints. The food was superb on both nights and I would highly recommend the Chicken curry. The breakfasts were also excellent. It is worth noting the steps from the car park to the hotel but it is very easy to park at the front to drop of luggage and then go and park your vehicle in a nice secure car park. In all we had a lovely stay and would definitely use the hotel again.

Booked the 2 bedroom apartment for 2 adults and 4 grandchildren the apartment was superb safe and quiet the food in the hotel was 1st class as we're all the staff, can't recommend this place highly enough
