“We had a fantastic stay at the butchers arms.
They were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with another hotel and Andrew and his team couldn’t do enough for us. What a lovely place to stay.
Very clean place. Bed was super comfy had a fantastic nights sleep.
We will definitely stay again if in the area. Thank you Andrew and all the team for looking after us. 😊😊”

“Lovely, clean, comfortable property with friendly owners.
Breakfast was great quality too.
The property is a short way from Abergavenney, surrounded by countryside - so very peaceful.
A very relaxing stay.”

“There were things I liked and didn’t like about this stay. The staff were really friendly, the drinks at the bar were cheap, the locals were really friendly and very social. The breakfast was good the next day and in hindsight, we should have had dinner here as it all looked home made and reasonably priced.
The negatives were that the place itself is so rundown, I don’t know how it survives as we didn’t see any other guests. The whole place needs a makeover, including the outside area. The room……

“This is a delightful 'home-from-home run by a most attentive couple. The breakfast provided is made to order and plentiful, using locally sourced ingredients.
Nothing was too much trouble and directions to various locations and sights freely given. Would recommend highly.”

“A fabulous place to stay.
We were greeted with a very welcoming pot of coffee after a long journey.
We were told of things to do, places to eat but as we were going to a wedding the day after we couldn't do any walking.
The room was clean and the bed so comfortable and lovely toiletries were in the bathroom.
The breakfast the following morning was incredible, better than a lot of smart hotels we have stayed in.
I would highly recommend Mill Lodge.”

“Absolutely delightful hotel. Me and a friend booked a room each for the Hay Festival, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The staff were wonderful; helpful, friendly, even showed us to our rooms. The location was great, not too far away but far enough that I’d was quiet and tranquil. The breakfast is well worth the money, as is the Old Barn pub across the road, where we ate that night. A fantastic stay, I can’t wait to return with my husband next time.”
