Bait and Switch

We booked a King suite for our stay (total of $140) using the Expedia website but when we arrived it was a standard room. I explained this to the staff and showed them my booking receipt but they said they were unable to upgrade me. The next morning when I got my bill, it was for over $190. I had to go back to the front desk and work the difference out - once again being asked for my original booking receipt. When I asked why this happened, the employee told me the computer systems were designed to book the maximum rate possible... Very disappointed in the hotel but when I explained this to Expedia they credited my account with $50.

Thank You for your comments. With that said, we only charge what the Expedia Credit card account allows us, based on your rate and tax. If you were over charged, then you were overcharged through Expedia.
