The location of the hotel was fine. It’s fairly close to the city center. The staff were friendly but this hotel should not have a 4 star rating. While the rooms and hotel were clean the condition of the hotel interior are tired. The outside of the hotel is badly in need of a refresh. In addition, the pictures of the hotel do not accurately represent the exterior. At breakfast when items ran out during the service hours the items were not refilled.

Hotel was modern and had all the amenities that we needed (e.g. free WiFi, charging ports, safe, shower soaps, nice shower with overhead and hand-held, etc.). The restaurant was closed when we arrived, but the chef makes really nice items available for purchase at the bar behind the reception. I can’t remember the name of the person who helped us, but he warmed up our two items, got us some bread and made me a perfect margarita too. Since it was pouring down rain, we opted to dine in and were glad we did when we saw so many coming back to the hotel completely soaked. Thanks!

Hotel was very nice. Short walk into Blois (I thought it was more central). Pool quite small though and v crowded when we stayed.

The staff tried to convince me to pay 8 Euro to use their parking. When I asked how much the public parking was he told me it was the same. Incorrect! Public parking was 4.8 Euro, almost half the cost and it was much more convenient. They also immediately added up the breakfast fees, which was $16 euro . I had to ask them to take off the charges. I felt like they were price gouging. Location is not the greatest. You need to walk 15 minutes to get to town

Not a good reward night, No more hotels.com for me
Avoid at all costs. Price started off ok and used my reward night so was only about €50 including breakfast. In my haste to get the booking done I booked for that night in error. To get it changed cost another €60 and when we Got to the hotel suddenly breakfast was not included, they were almost empty , parking was not included and they charged us €30 to have the dogs in the room.

Good stay close to city centre
Stayed there during very hot days and unfortunately the air conditioning was not working properly it was hard to sleep. Swimming pool was handy to refresh but rather small. Parking available in the neighborhood, good location close to Château of Blois and city center. Overall a good and clean hotel but somehow it didn’t feel like a great value for money.

Good stay on Loire Valley
Good stay and location; breakfast crowded but ok. Blois is well located to visit the castles of Loure Valley. Popular for families. A normal Novotel hotel, rather standard, not ”french charm” type.

Not the best Novotel unfortunately
Good central location but otherwise quite disappointing. Understaffed- took ages to check in and no bar staff to look after customers. 1 complimentary bottle of water instead of one per head as in other Novotel hotels. Same for tea bags- only one in room. Air-conditioning in one room didn’t work and breakfast again not as extensive as in other Novotel hotels. Disappointing!

While touring Loire chateaux
Blois was a wonderful place to visit. The Novotel people were kind and helpful - even explaining how to maneuver the adjacent parking lot to our advantage. We had a wonderful coffee and a very comfortable night's sleep.

The hotel was neat and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was conveniently located to the old town. Probably more a business hotel but suited our purpose for a one night stay.

New hotel.... Could do with better service
We arrived early in blois having cycled part of the loire a velo. We looked to check in and were told our room would not be available until 2pm so we waited. We ordered some drinks and eventually the room was ready at 3pm. The room was small but the air con was good. My daughter wanted to use the pool but there was not a single umbrella at the pool in 35 degree heat. The facilities in the room were good and it looks really new. Location of hotel to town was also good.

Nice room, friendly staff! The location is not actually in the “centre” as the name implies, but it is a 10 minute walk to everything in the city center. Being a little outside of the old town and city center keeps it a little quieter and less expensive, which gave it great value.

the room was very spacious though there were four of us staying. Everything looks new and clean. Staff is very friendly. Walking distance to city center. Two blocks from the hotel there was free city parking.

The hotel was modern and clean, however there was no lounge area or external area to sit and relax .The car park was out of use as was the swimming pool. Had to pay to park at €4.80 each day.

Little disappointed
Front desk amazingly great, housekeeping not so much. Our given room not done, alternate room almost ready, had to wait 5 minutes. Next day, we recieved a new bottle of water, no towels, no coffee, no clean up. Had to ask for a little re-fresh. Parking was easy, bar at nite nice.

One night stay
Comfort room booked for 2 adults and 1 child aged 15. After a day of travelling up from the South we entered our room to see that a sofa bed had been provided for our daughter. Usual teenage tantrum which I resolved by opening up the bed to make a double. We were late arriving and still had to find somewhere to eat and it wasn’t until the following morning when I checked my reservation that I noticed the room I had actually booked was one with a double and twin beds. Nothing was raised with reception at the time as no price difference. Double Beds was comfortable but when I turned on the bedside lights I did notice that the telephone and table were very dusty.

Great hotel for a stopover in Blois

Very convenient
All staff were very helpful, we had a problem with the room safe and they put our items in reception safe, our safe fixed next day. Breakfast was good, room was comfortable, the hotel was in a good position with a free electric bus into town within 100 mts. If we went back to blois, we would stay here.

The room was spacious and clean. The hotel was under renovation, but it didn't bother us. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good with lots of items to choose from. The location was convenient for walking and exploring the delightful town of Blois. Also, parking was convenient.

Good basic hotel at a reasonable price.
Good basic hotel at a reasonable price. Told when we checked in that breakfast was included but when we checked out were charged for it and told that it was not. We were told that we should not have been told that by the woman who checked us in; that it was a mistake.. We were charged anyway. €20 each is exorbitant for the breakfast we received. Otherwise the facility is quite acceptable.

Solid hotel.
We stayed with the Holiday Inn for 4 days at the end of August 2017. It really is a no frills hotel. The room is quite plain, but it was clean and comfortable, and it was a great size for Europe. It did have funky blue lighting in the side of the room that made it a little dark at night even with all the lights on. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They called cabs for us and gave us information on the surrounding chateaus. It's a little far from the city center, but we knew that going in. It was about a 10 minute walk down to the Chateau Blois, and a 20 minute walk to the train station. The breakfast at the hotel is included. While the food it nothing life changing, it is very well stocked with a large selection of breads, juices, coffee, meats, cheese, and eggs. The breakfast staff was very friendly. It was a great way to start off the day. This hotel will not blow you away, but if you just need a clean, simple, straight forward home base with breakfast and plenty of space, its a good solid choice.
