Hotel is excellent but pricy. Nice for an overnight stay on a special occasion. The menu is not very extensive so you need to be a 'foodie' to enjoy it.

Nice to be in a real castle.

Posted Sep 20, 2015
Pros: It is rich in art and period furniture.
Cons: The room descriptions provided by expedia were not according to the hotel descriptions. We were disappointed with the category of room offered to us.
Location: There are a few things around but we used this hotel as a base to visit a number of chateaus in the area.
It is a little out of town off the highway. The hotel itself is well kept with a staff that seems to live near or on the premises. Spent 4 nights and was very satisfied.

the chateau hotel is very nice settle in a vast land excellent for a nice walk. The room is good enough. The dinner is served either outside or inside. The dining room is really quite and cosy, the food is delicious. Very nice the lady who welcomed us with a nice smile and good manner.

Unfortunately we are not. We could smell dog in the bar and all other guests had dogs. Food not as good as expected.

Pros: Character.
Cons: Some of the decor could be updated.

The chataux has character and whilst the decor is variable, ther ambiance is very good and the food in the restaurant was first rate.

Hotel of character in need of refurbishment

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: The restaurant and the hotel staff
Cons: The fabric of the building
The hotel staff were very friendly and made every effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The restaurant was clearly popular with local residents no doubt because of the quality of the food, which was very good. The only drawback was the state of the hotel itself, which is badly in need of sympathetic refurbishment.

Great hotel for couples and pet lovers

Posted Sep 7, 2012
Pros: Atmosphere, setting, fine dining
Cons: External rooms
Location: Very easy to find, straight to it with a sat nav. Lovely area to explore further
This chateau is in an a beautiful and romantic setting and is very atmospheric. The grounds are very well kept. The dining room was beautifully arranged, so much care had gone into the appearance of the room and the table setting. The food was amazing. The staff could not have been more helpful. In general we had a wonderful experience at the Chateau Les Muids
