Decent hotel in a convenient location. We stayed as three adults in a triple room. Comfy beds and nice shower. Friendly front desk staff. Good value compared to other hotels nearby.

This is an exceptional achievement for a limited service hotel offer but with fully completed and refurbished, beautiful new rooms and bathrooms.So not we do not have a bar or restaurant in our hotel but there is an outstanding array of bars, restaurants and clubs in our immediate hotel area.The super well advertised "Breakfast to Go" style of continental breakfast is a deliberately individually wrapped breakfast offer for a great value price of just 5 or 6 Euros for the last two years and eleven months now. Great location. Comfortable and very clean, friendly welcome. Good price. Near to tube, buses, pubs and restaurants. Hotel is above the tube line so you hear the trains. Simple breakfast included - yoghurt, packaged croissant, bottle of juice. No cooked breakfast - but you can go to a cafe around the corner.

As you will appreciate, there is nothing we can do about the distant city-wide tube/metro/subway rumbles but as you say, you soon get used to it and we hope you had a good night's sleep. Stay away!
I stayed with my husband and our new born baby - and paid double the price, because I had stayed twice before and had a good experience. This time we were put in, what I’d describe as an “attic” room - top floor, low ceilings and very cramped (it’s so small the bathroom was split across two cupboard sized spaces) despite telling the hotel in advance we were staying with a baby. It was the hottest floor according to staff, and the windows didn’t open save by a few cm. We arrived in the evening, and had to meet friends so had no time and lots of bags.We were given a fan to blow the hot air around the room and our baby was crying - it was honestly cooler outside the hotel. The hotel said they were full and there was no manager available on weekends. We stayed out v late and walked with the pram hoping the room would have cooled. We were moved the next day. The manager finally showed on Monday late afternoon. He was over 6ft tall and stood towering over me in an intimidating fashion - he offered no apology, no acknowledgment , nothing - his response was they were fully booked, and in the same situation “he would have moved his family to another hotel”, he was not available to talk to us by phone on a Saturday because he was “eating his dinner” and a small hotel so no weekend manager (despite charging more than the Hilton). His whole mannerism was appalling and completely ruined our holiday. I would never go back here again and wouldn’t wish another family to go through this.

Dear Ms McKinstrayThank you for your spurious review which I will address in order - You travelled to London at the end of the week of the second UK heatwave having reserved a standard double room which you received having requested a high floor room allocation ahead of your third stay at our hotel.The standard rooms in this newly refurbished multi-award-winning boutique hotel are located on levels Ground, One and Five and as explained on multiple occasions now, the hotel was fully booked on the first night of your stay. You were offered and accepted a room move to a larger room on the second night of your two-night stay. You saw, booked and accepted the room rate at time of booking a hotel room, noting our rooms pricing change seasonally and like all hotels are based on supply and demand.The front desk operative was the hotel Reservations Manager who was duty manager on the day. I was attending an industry dinner in south London as explained when you asked to speak to me at 6pm on a Saturday night. I met you in the hotel lobby on your check out day at your request. Apologies for my height - your baby's pram was actually located in between us if you correctly recall - hardly towering over you then, before you husband also belatedly attended the conversation.Yours was the only complaint we received that weekend.We respectfully suggest that you do not reserve entry level bedroom accommodation when travelling for a holiday with lots of luggage for your next two-night hotel stay.Thank you.

Very clean. Bed was old springs but my ribs. No air conditioning we all slept with nothing on and were sweating terribly my youngest asked to have water put on her through the night. Noisy- shook the room from train. Never again.

The hotel team is grateful for your kind review comment for the high quality of cleanliness in our unusually spacious and practical newly refurbished en-suite rooms following the completion of a five year refurbishment project to all our guest rooms which ended on 6 May 2022. It is most unlikely with our location in a conservation area of London that we will ever be granted to install air conditioning units into our guest rooms. The windows are all restricted to just an opening of 10cm to prevent falls from height, and especially so with the high number so families who stay here with young children, so strict Health and Safety practices apply. Thankfully there are only approximately 9 hot summer days in London when fans are a feature in all of our guest rooms, plus a small supply of spare fans are available on request from our 24/7 reception desk to cool the guest rooms down a little. As you will appreciate there is really nothing we can do about the distant rumbles of the 159 year old tube/metro/subway system, which happily closes down at night in our local vicinity. Please do reconsider coming back to sample the Astor Court Hotel experience once again, on your next visit to Central London when the weather conditions are a little cooler than the two extreme heatwaves which we endured this summer. Happily, we are seeing an increase in traveller numbers from all over the UK to come and stay with us again in recent times, which is just fabulous!

👍Astor Hotel har ett utmärkt centralt läge. Trevliga kvarter med bra restauranger i närområdet. Nyrenoverade rum med bekväma sängar. Mycket vänlig, tillmötesgående & lyhörd personal. Ja reste med mitt barnbarn 12 år. Rekommenderas varmt mycket prisvärt 👎saknar kylskåp & luftkonditionering kan säkert bli varmt på natten under högsommaren. Frukosten var dålig fortfarande corona anpassad i papperspåse i en trist källarlokal.

Nothing we can do about the tube rumbles from the 159 year old underground system which features throughout the capital city.
