We have stayed here before. A very nice, clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff. A very nice self-service breakfast, too. There are plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance and the hotel has its own very good restaurant as well. The Clarendon is also handy for the railway station, with a quick service into London.

Staff make this place great. The breakfast staff have a chat and a laugh and put onbthe absolute feast of English brekkies. Room was just what I needed and they moved me tob1st floor since i had a bit of luggage. Easy walk from Blackheath station. Lots of great little independent restaurants in town. The Everest is one of the best meals ive had in a while.

A little gem! 5 stars from us.
Excellent hotel. Have stayed in high-end places, so this was last minute booking for New Year's Eve, as I needed to be close to a family event in London. So, not the most modern place, but hey, has a charm of its own. Great location. Clean and compared to city prices, a bargain. Positives: Free parking in London. Friendly staff. Clean, warm room. Good bathroom. Comfortable bed and a great night's sleep. FANTASTIC breakfast, with great quality options. The restaurant staff are super friendly, efficient and happy to help out. 5 minute drive to Greenwich and to O2 arena in 15 minutes. Negatives. Nothing that affected our stay, however, the windows are old and dated and could do with an upgrade, bit of a draft from them, but the heating in the room is great, so hardly noticed it, however, great for a 200-year-old building. Our family room had 4 single beds and plenty of room. Great hot shower. We will be back.

Lovely old-style hotel
Enjoyed a 2-night stay here at The Clarendon. Just a 5-minute walk from the station if wanting to go into town, or just 5 minutes south of Greenwich Park Parking can be tricky - all spaces were occupied while we were there, although they have a little more space around the back if you ask. Sadly ... one of the reasons we booked was because the hotel have EV chargers, but they actually have just two Tesla chargers, which didn't work with our car Also ... Friday morning, with a fairly full hotel, there was a pretty big queue down the corridor at breakfast

Great stay
Lovely 4 night stay in one of the Crown Rooms. Room was spacious, comfortable and overlooking the heath. Consequently the busy road could be a bit noisy. Bathroom was a bit on the small side and had nowhere to put my toiletries. Staff are all super friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is good, they serve you with tea & coffee which is a nice touch. Had a couple of evening meals which were excellent. This was my second visit & will definitely be back when in the area.

Unable to leave the room as the door would not open. The manager confirmed that if you turn the key too far then the door will lock when closed and cannot be opened from the inside. This is dangerous and unsafe.In the event of a fire people could be trapped in their rooms. The safety advice on the door says to contact reception by calling 0 on the room telephone but as there is no phone how is that possible. The hotel is in need of some modernisation

Lovely hotel and great service as always. Great location for concerts at the O2. Food was great and room very comfortable. Only downside was the towels. Far too small!

Great staff. Shame about the party til midnight.
Rooms were 'tired'. Door to my elderly Mother's room was insecure - wood had dplit and looked like ot had been glued back on. No internal security locking. Very noisy - loud music until midnight meant we couldnt get to sleep so very tired next day. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Cannot fault any of the staff at all. Cooked breakfast very enjoyable.

A lovely gem of a hotel 20mins from London
It was an amazing stay , what a great find, 20mins by train into London Bridge or Charing Cross. View from our room was across London to the Docklands and a little peak of the shard, fabulous uninterrupted views at night. Blackheath itself is a very beautiful Village with lots of first class restaurants and up market shops.A good walk across the park takes you to Greenwich where form there you can choose to visit the Observatory steeped in History, which is so very interesting and continue through the park to view the Cutty Sark and the delights of Greenwchich town.
