Mid week work stayPosted Oct 9, 2015
Great location and lovely old buildings. Rooms are comfy but a little tired and in need of modernisation. Staff could do with some customer service training as reception is always an experience!

Cons: Card for room entry stopped working continually.
Good location. Good clean room. Could be improved if the card for accessing the room and lift always worked.

Well Situated HotelPosted Oct 3, 2015
Cons: Please see my earlier comments about the TV in the bar/lounge area.
The hotel is on the edge of Greenwich Park and near the Cutty Sark and great places to eat so very well situated. Greenwich has a lovely atmosphere and beautiful buildings and felt much less frantic than more central areas of London despite being only minutes away by tube. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient. Asked for more pillows which quickly arrived. Our room was very spacious, well appointed and well equipped. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner, namely the bath sealant and shower screen but was certainly not bad enough to freak me out! Excellent, plentiful breakfast with lots of choice. Utterly brilliant and unique chap working in the dining room every morning. SO cheerful and attentive, he was fabulous. My only moan - please ditch the TV in the bar/lounge area or stick to showing News 24 on mute. It would have been a lovely space in which to read and relax with a little drinkie after the relative hustle and bustle of London but instead we were subject to MTV so we didn't use it :-( All in all we would happily stay at the hotel again.

Location: Five minutes' walk from the Cutty Sark, next to Greenwich Park.
Location perfect - remarkably quiet for somewhere so central.

Excellent location to see LondonPosted Sep 23, 2015
Pros: As above
Cons: Later breakfast availability in week and face cloths in the bathroom
Location: Covered above
Visiting with my daughter. Found the hotel comfortable and clean. Great lounge for relaxing after site seeing all day with a good bar. Found 9:30 too early for breakfast availability to end but the one day we made it the food was excellent. Greenwich has much to offer, marine history, Greenwich meantime observatory as well as many very good restaurants and pubs. A lovely park for a walk if you need some downtime. Easy access to Canary Wharf and central London on the tube. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Nice hotel in GreenwichPosted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: Although an older building, it was nicely maintained and updated. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed breakfasts.
Cons: Don't know.
Location: A bit of a drive from London Heathrow, but we prepaid the taxi driver so we didn't have to worry about the bizarre route he took to the hotel.
Spent 3 nights at the Devenport in Greenwich and enjoyed our stay. We thought the location was excellent because the Cutty Sark underground station was a 5 minute walk away, and we were also able to take the Thames water taxis into the heart of London. We felt comfortable walking around the area at night, and there were quite a few restaurants and shopping nearby. Plus there are a number of attractions (Royal Observatory, Naval College, Cutty Sark, Queen's House) within easy walking distance.
