Birthday treat

Hotel is hard to access, not particularly close to either Canada Water or Canary Wharf tube (which you gave to fet on a boat to access). Room was nice, breakfast was beautiful, but situ was hard work.

Good family hotel

We stayed in a family room, plenty of space and very comfortable for an overnight break. Breakfast was busy but worth the short wait for a table. Journey via the ferry over the Thames was a fun way to end our trip.

Ongezellige lobby, onpersoonlijke sfeer.

Hotel heeft ongezellige lobby, eerste indruk is erg sober. Lijkt meer op een station wachtruimte wat versterkt wordt door de afvaart van de pont. Badkamer erg minimaal, douchegordijn in bad. Geen minibar. Geen uitzicht op de Theems maar op de andere kamers. Wel heerlijk rustig hotel, weinig geluiden te horen. Restaurant top maar felle verlichting en airco te koud. Mooi terras.

Schöner Wohnen direkt an der Themse

Pros: Der Charakter des Hotels war der alten Bausubstanz gut angepasst. Großartig war die Terasse, die zum Frühstück und auf einen Absacker am Abend einlud.
Cons: Abends nicht über das Geschirr der Nachbarzimmer zu stolpern wäre schön und helleres Licht im Zimmer wäre perfekt.
Location: Das Hotel brindet sich direkt in der Nähe von Canary Wharf. Es ist idealer Ausgangspunkt für ganz London, wenn man Bus, Schiff und Bahn nicht scheut.
Das Hotel besteht aus einem Neu- und einem Altbau, wir waren im alten Werftgebäude untergebracht. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß, ein wenig dunkel, da es zu einem Innenhof ging und die Scheiben aus Milchglas waren. Das Bad war groß und mit einer Wanne ausgestattet. Wir waren an einem WE mit mehreren Großveranstaltungen da, entsprechend launig war das Publikum und man konnte den Abend immer gut in der eigenen Bar ausklingen lassen. Die Bezeichnung Nichtraucherhotel und die entsprechend vielen Hinweise darauf müssen britisches Brauchtum sein, denn geraucht wurde ... und wie... kein Wunder, wenn in der Bar ein Humidor steht. Der Zimmerservice war ok, aber irgendwie könnte man mal abends durchgehen und gucken, welcher Gast was an Müll vor die Tür gestellt hat. Die Flure rochen teilweise nach Ungezieferspray, aber besser das als nach Ungeziefer. Das Frühstück war solide mit Eierstation, jeder konnte was für sich finden. Die eigene Schiffsverbindung zur Canary Wharf war eigentlich aufgrund guter Busanbindung nicht nötig, aber so schön, daß wir sie trotzdem jeden Tag genutzt haben. Und am abend sassen wir auf der Terasse und haben wir dann die Skyline von Canary Wharf bewundert.... Für den, der nicht mitten in der City wohnen muss, eine hervorragende Wahl.

The best hotel & staff by far in London

I recently stayed at this hotel with my wife & 3 children, from the second we entered the hotel the staff were very helpful. The room was perfect for us & had a stunning view during the day & at night. The hotel staff were so nice & made us feel very welcome. & in the morning during breakfast they surprised my little girl who's birthday it was, with a beautiful cake & candles, & a little sing-a-long to. They were brilliant & I would recommend this hotel to all my friends & family. It was by far the best hotel in London I've stayed in. & the staff were fantastic!!! I will definitely be going back.....

Very Disappointed

Pros: Breakfast was lovely, very wide selection of drinks, pastries etc.
Cons: The wait times for getting a table at breakfast and cooked breakfast were excessive! More servers, large dining area.
Location: Complimentary river crossing was a nice touch.
Expected much more from such a well known chain hotel. The room itself was ok but too warm, the air con wasn't very efficient. The bathroom was horrific! Incredibly tired, in need of some renovations. It was also filthy, asked at reception for them to clean it properly and it was not better! Dust in the lid of the toilet seat, toothpaste splats on the tiles, hair in the shower, dust around the tap. Appalling!

top hotel just across the Thames

Pros: friendly helpful staff, professional and hotel room was clean and comfortable ideal.
Cons: If possible would just be to run ferry beyond midnight.
Location: not a lot hotel side of the water but once across in Canary Wharf everything available for good nights out wining and dining or train to City centre.
Hotel was ideal for business function I had booked in narrow street, ferry from Canary Wharf in just a couple of minutes straight to the hotel door, couldn't have been easier.

Nice hotel close to Canary Wharf

The hotel staff were the nicest I have ever experienced, they could not do enough for you. The concierge lady I dealt with was so helpful and kind when I had an issue with my luggage. Breakfast was amazing and so much to choose from, even the fussiest people would be happy! The bed was comfy but they are never a comfy as your own bed which is why it only got 4 out of 5. Great room though.
